Where does it say the doctor is a christian?Probably not. The point was made that this was not a Christ-like action to take.

Where does it say the doctor is a christian?
Where does it say the doctor is a christian?
“I never meant to hurt either of you,” Roi wrote. “After much prayer following your prenatal [visit], I felt that I would not be able to develop the personal patient-doctor relationship that I normally do with my patients.” She said that the women are “always welcome” at the office and could visit another pediatrician there, and that she should have told them at that initial visit that she would not be able to treat them.
"Please know that I believe that God gives us free choice, and I would never judge anyone based on what they do with that free choice. Again, I am very sorry for the hurt and angry feelings that were created by this,” Roi wrote.
I'll save you the gotcha moment--yes, she could be a Muslim. Regardless, her actions were not Christ-like.
All of you are talking out of ignorance. Will this doctor also not care for children born out of wedlock? How about unsaved families? In this case, the doctor was 100% wrong. Period. She is not showing any support by caring for this child. She is not condoning anything any more than caring for a child might support the spousal abuse that might be happening in some homes.
Of course! According to those here, it wouldn't be Christ-like to deny service. If a patient contacted a surgeon to have a sex change operation and the surgeon declined to do the surgery should the government force the surgeon to mutilate healthy organs under threat of suspending his license to practice medicine?
BB is full of headline grabbers. It often surprises folks to find out what's really in their own links. All of you are talking out of ignorance.
No one is refusing to treat a child. She is refusing to be the family doctor, or pediatrician or whatever for lesbian "parents."
In an emergency room, I have no doubt the doctor you're crucifying would treat the child.
Sheesh! Or should I say, Sheep! Develop some critical thinking skills why dontchya?

Sex change operations aren't just a snip, snap, and a stitch. Doctors have to specialize in surgical techniques like this. I can only assume that surgeons who DO actively purse training in these types of surgeries have no problems with the immoral nature the motivates it.
Family doctors don't have these types of specializations.
Apples and oranges.
Unless the patient asks his family doctor for a referral to such a surgeon.
I was talking about the initial consultation a patient would have with his doctor about a SCO.If a person is going to ask his *family doctor for a referral for someone to perform a sex change operation, then that family doctor has already been giving this patient hormone replacement therapy and is already in the know about what this person is doing........
Despite the gargantuan presumption in this quote, but . . .If a person is going to ask his or her family doctor for a referral for someone to perform a sex change operation, then that family doctor has already been giving this patient hormone replacement therapy and is already in the know about what this person is doing.
Again . . .If they have told their patient that they do not administer hormones for sex changes and has refused to be a part of the process, then the patient isn't going to ask them for a surgeon referral.
So?My gynecologist doesn't perform abortions. His patients know that. He doesn't refuse patients on account of any moral issue, but he does refuse to perform abortions.
He would never refuse to add a woman to his patient list just because she is a lesbian or unwed mother or adulterer or obese or a chain smoker .......
...answer the question....
If a surgeon has had this training, he or she must be OK with it all.
What if the surgeon that had the training has a change of heart? They would possess the proper training. Should they be forced to perform the procedure?
No, they should not be forced to do any procedure where that procedure in and of itself is against their principles.
Hopefully, if that happened and a surgeon trained in that area had a change of heart for sake of holiness, they would make the announcement to their clientele that they are out of the sex changing business.
