Leave it to a dork like Pelosi to muddy the waters. She is leading the House on a path to destruction. She just doesn't get it.

The Final Move Beyond Iraq, produced by Mike Evans, contains riveting footage on stories such as: Iran’s collusion with Syria to provide proxies to penetrate Israel’s northern and southern borders; President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s plan to destabilize Iraq and spread Ayatollah Khomeini’s Islamic revolution across the entire Middle East; Islamic children being taught at an early age to hate Americans and Jews; Saudi Arabia’s plan to build a $13 billion fence to separate that country from Iranian terrorist infiltrators. The Final Move Beyond Iraq features interviews with former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu; Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz; U.S. News and World Report owner and Editor-in-Chief, Mort Zuckerman; R. James Woolsey, former Director, CIA; Lieutenant General Moshe Ya’alon, former Chief of Staff, IDF, under Ariel Sharon; General Hugh Shelton; former Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Dore Gold; and a number of Israeli and U.S. Generals; CIA and FBI experts.

Click here to find the time and station in your area. The special will also air on the Inspirational Network, PAX/ION Network, and WIZE Network. Those dates and times are included.

The Final Move Beyond Iraq, a cutting–edge book by New York Times best-selling author Michael D. Evans and released by Strang Communications, reveals Iran’s involvement in the war in Iraq. It divulges Iran’s complicity in providing IEDs that have been used to kill 85 percent of American troops in Iraq; Iran’s support of the militias in Iraq; and its plan to spread the burgeoning Islamic revolution across Iraq and Syria to the very borders of Israel. The book will also become a one-hour documentary syndicated in major television markets across America. The book and the extended version of the documentary will be released in May 2007.

Pelosi and crowd saying we have to behave like France. Now Russia adds its muddy waters to the mix:

MOSCOW (Reuters) - The United States cannot inflict a military
defeat on Iran and any attack would be a huge political mistake,
Russia's top general said on Tuesday.

"It is possible to damage Iran's military and industrial potential,
but it is impossible to win," Russian news agencies quoted General
Yuri Baluyevsky, head of the Russian general staff, as saying.

"The United States has a contingent in the region capable of
launching a strike on Iranian territory.

"However, such possible strikes would be a huge political mistake.
Shockwaves from this attack could be felt around the world."

.........

RIA news agency quoted a Russian security source as saying Moscow
has military intelligence reports that the U.S. has already approved
a list of Iranian targets for bomb and missile strikes. The source
said a land operation could follow.

U.S. President George W. Bush has said he will pursue diplomatic
means to persuade Iran to drop its uranium enrichment plan but he
has refused to rule out the use of force.

Baluyevsky said military involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan showed
the United States would face a fiasco if it took on Iran as well.

"The Americans must think twice (about attacking Iran)," he
said. "They have already got stuck in Afghanistan and Iraq."

Watch for Pelosi and crowd to next thank Russia for its "timely advice."

The last election would prove you wrong.

If Bush didn't specifically send Issa there, he shouldn't be there.

happy now ?

It looks like when the Republicans do it, it's alright, but when the Democrats do it, it's bad.
So are you now admitting that she actually conveyed a message that Ohmert didn't send? A few pages you weren't admitting that if I recalled.

Pelosi did nothing that the Republicans have not done both now and in the past. You are only complaining because it is Speaker Pelosi, a Democrat. So, tell your lie to someone who will believe it, I don't want any Bush Kool-Aid!

Actually, my comments were to Terry who had earlier said (if I recall correctly) that Pelosi had not messed up the message. Now it appears that she did. Just wondering if Terry was admitting he was wrong ...

Our enemies and less than friends around the world seem pleased with Pelosi so she must have been successful in her goals. The head cover was also a nice touch.

No, he's not!

The White House, however, stayed relatively quiet about a similar trip just a few days earlier by Wolf and GOP Reps. Robert Aderholt of Alabama and Joseph Pitts of Pennsylvania.

More of our taxpayer money being wasted by both the GOP and the Dems.

I'm not as bummed out at her for going as I am for her making Israel mad.

They say she gave an incorrect message. Somebody's not being truthful, and I doubt it's Israel.

Maybe she misspoke. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt on that, but still, it wouldn't have happened if she hadn't gone.

I don't necessarily disagree with her making diplomatic trips. She is a top leader in this country, after all. But, if you're going to visit other countries and try to broker peace, at least give the right message from one country to the other. If you don't get things right, you open yourself up to well-deserved criticism. Just ask President Bush about that.

To state that Israel was "ready to engage in peace talks" with Syria was incorrect and it was naïve to interpret Assad's propagandist utterances as meaning he was prepared to "resume the peace process".
There's a lively debate in the blogosphere on this issue, with some arguing that Pelosi was wrongly accused. But her statements were alarming enough for Israel to hastily issue a statement of clarification - and it seems to me a bit of a stretch to argue that Pelosi was in fact delivering the Bush administration's message.

To the chagrin of the White House, Nancy Pelosi, the House Speaker, was tripping down the Yellow Brick Road to Damascus in an attempt to formulate her own foreign policy. So, apart from a lot of confusion and a smidgeon of hilarity, what exactly did she achieve?
An editorial in today's Washington Post - not exactly a bastion of support for President George W. Bush - ripped into the California Democrat, accusing her of foolishly trying to establish a "shadow presidency".
As any student of the US Constitution knows, there is one commander-in-chief and that is the president. Attempts by congressional leaders to supplant him weaken America's foreign policy because they allow its adversaries to play one element of the government off against another.
Rightly or wrongly, current US policy is to isolate Syria because of its support for Hezbollah, its interference in Lebanon and its role in allowing foreign fighters into Iraq.
Syria and its allies were clearly delighted by the visit of Pelosi, who is third in line to the presidency (which is why you won't see Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney do anything more dangerous together this side of January 2009 than stroll on the White House lawn).
Khaled Al-Batch, a spokesman for Islamic Jihad, has just popped up saying that Pelosi's visit shows she understands the Middle East and he hopes she and her colleagues win the next elections. Jimmy Carter was also all for it. With friends like these...
It is one thing for members of Congress to go on fact-finding missions abroad and to educate themselves on the foreign policy issues they will vote on. But it is quite another to attempt to open up lines of communication between Israel and Syria and attempt a diplomatic magic trick.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) offered an excellent demonstration yesterday of why members of Congress should not attempt to supplant the secretary of state when traveling abroad. After a meeting with Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad in Damascus, Ms. Pelosi announced that she had delivered a message from Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert that "Israel was ready to engage in peace talks" with Syria. What's more, she added, Mr. Assad was ready to "resume the peace process" as well. Having announced this seeming diplomatic breakthrough, Ms. Pelosi suggested that her Kissingerian shuttle diplomacy was just getting started. "We expressed our interest in using our good offices in promoting peace between Israel and Syria," she said.

Only one problem: The Israeli prime minister entrusted Ms. Pelosi with no such message. "What was communicated to the U.S. House Speaker does not contain any change in the policies of Israel," said a statement quickly issued by the prime minister's office. In fact, Mr. Olmert told Ms. Pelosi that "a number of Senate and House members who recently visited Damascus received the impression that despite the declarations of Bashar Assad, there is no change in the position of his country regarding a possible peace process with Israel." In other words, Ms. Pelosi not only misrepresented Israel's position but was virtually alone in failing to discern that Mr. Assad's words were mere propaganda.
...

As any diplomat with knowledge of the region could have told Ms. Pelosi, Mr. Assad is a corrupt thug whose overriding priority at the moment is not peace with Israel but heading off U.N. charges that he orchestrated the murder of former Lebanese prime minister Rafiq al-Hariri. The really striking development here is the attempt by a Democratic congressional leader to substitute her own foreign policy for that of a sitting Republican president. Two weeks ago Ms. Pelosi rammed legislation through the House of Representatives that would strip Mr. Bush of his authority as commander in chief to manage troop movements in Iraq. Now she is attempting to introduce a new Middle East policy that directly conflicts with that of the president. We have found much to criticize in Mr. Bush's military strategy and regional diplomacy. But Ms. Pelosi's attempt to establish a shadow presidency is not only counterproductive, it is foolish.
