Many lawmakers had family members there, since it was the ceremonial certification of the vote. If I remember correctly, Pence had his family members there are well.

If I had connections in Congress, I would have wanted to be there for the certification of the election -- as a patriotic American, not as one of the Trump mob.

For what it's worth, I'm registered with the Republican Party in Texas and vote in Republican primaries, but I am have been actively trying to undermine the corrupt Republican stranglehold of Texas government for a number of years. One's registration doesn't necessarily correlate to how one votes in the general election.

And for all the conspiracy theories about "Antifa" and Democrats leading the attack on the Capitol, there is no real evidence of that. The fact that the attackers began leaving the Capitol as soon as Trump asked them to do so reveals their allegiance, as well as Donald Trump's expressing his love to the attackers and claiming their motivation was an allegedly stolen election.

Her daughter is a professional film maker.

The “crew” was her and her husband.

The cameras were likely iPhones. (Remember, a vast number of Capitol attackers made videos of themselves commuting their crimes.)

I carry an iPhone with an HD video camera built into it (like many here), and I have made a few short films in my day.

I also have an HD dash camera in my car. One day, I videoed a drunk driver weaving through a residential neighborhood as I followed him and gave updates to the 911 operator until the police intercepted him. The video went to the police.

Was that suspicious? Should the evidence have been discounted because I have made a few fictional short films and I decided to follow and videotape a man who was driving a Mercedes partially on a sidewalk in a residential area? It certainly wasn’t “normal,” so that’s why I started filming.

Sounds like you and Benny Johnson (as well as “The Great Nuclear Orange MAGA Queen JKash” — or is that you?) don’t think very clearly. Maybe your reasoning ability is clouded by your contempt for Nancy Polosi and your worship of Donald Trump?

Yes, the evidence should have been discarded if you had a grudge against the driver or the owner of the car and that was your only evidence. Otherwise, it would be a setup, entrapment, no?

Maybe YOUR reasoning ability is clouded by YOUR contempt for Donald Trump and YOUR worship of Nancy Pelosi?

Sure hope the worship isn't of her acting abilities:

and where is all the other videos you're sitting on, Nan?

So my attitude caused the driver get severely intoxicated, to drive on the sidewalk, and weave through the neighborhood?

No, that's ridiculous.

Otherwise, it would be a setup, entrapment, no?
No is the correct answer.

Maybe YOUR reasoning ability is clouded by YOUR contempt for Donald Trump and YOUR worship of Nancy Pelosi?
I don't have contempt for Trump and I'm no fan of Nancy Polosi, but it is clear your reasoning is impaired if you think my attitude toward someone else causes them to take illegal actions against me and other people.

No, narrow your analogy - you are saving the driver was intoxicated and weaving through the neighborhood when it's actually what you thought you saw. Even if you saw it correctly, that does not mean the driver was intoxicated, he could have been having a heart attack or just a terrible driver.

Pelosi and her child were there way beforehand, inside and outside the building, she was hoping Trump would show up just so she could "punch him in the face". THAT is advocating violence.

This is exactly what is wrong with the left, you think somebody that disagrees with you has to have contempt for one and worship for the other and that his reasoning is impaired, but when somebody disagrees with that, that person's reasoning is also impaired. Hail Mary pass releasing this stupid video.

OK, maybe the camera crew was there (but as usual?) to document Nancy in action at a joint congressional event.

However, the fake concern to get everyone to safety is highly suspicious. They were not taking it seriously. There was no sense of any real emergency.

You don’t stage a camera crew ahead of the highest ranking members of Congress when there is real concern for safety. They would be last in line, if in line at all.

And then of course there is Nancy claiming Trump instigated it. That is utter hogwash.

If you want to know what the Dems are up to, just look at what they are accusing others of. The Dems typically falsely accuse others of what they themselves are guilty.

Of course that possibility is true, but I documented the REALITY of the driver's ACTIONS, following him to the point where the police apprehended him and he was determined to be intoxicated. Because of the video and my willingness to testify under oath as to what I saw, he pleaded out.

What I reported to the 911 operator was that I saw a man hop the curb in a Mercedes convertible, was driving down the sidewalk, then weaving back out onto the street, barely missing parked cars and people on the road. I told the operator that I SUSPECTED he was intoxicated and she dispatched officers to the area I indicated until they caught up with us.

Whatever I thought about the condition of the driver was irrelevant before, during, and after his ACTIONS.

Pelosi and her child were there way beforehand, inside and outside the building...
Most people tend to be inside and outside buildings before, during, and after events at said buildings...

...she was hoping Trump would show up just so she could "punch him in the face". THAT is advocating violence.
Let's get this straight... You think Polosi was "advocating violence" when she expressed her anger at Trump -- in the midst of an assault on the Capitol -- for sending a mob of people to the Capitol to attack Congress (as well as specifically her, Mike Pence, AOC, and others)? It someone sends a mob to your place of business to harm you and you barely escape, then you express your anger toward the person who sent the mob, are you "advocating violence," or do you simply want consequences for the aggressor's actions?

This is exactly what is wrong with the left, you think somebody that disagrees with you has to have contempt for one and worship for the other and that his reasoning is impaired...
Because he has a long history of expressing contempt toward Polosi (and Democrats in general) and fawning admiration of Trump. He has also shown a long history of flawing thinking in his embrace of conspiracy theories that never pan out. He just keeps moving the goalposts and insisting the latest conspiracy theories are correct.

And that's not "the left," that's me. That's coming from a Christian perspective, not a "left" perspective. Discernment is a key Christian discipline, whether you practice it or not.

...but when somebody disagrees with that, that person's reasoning is also impaired.
The "somebody" is you, and your reasoning is also impaired (unless you are being dishonest).

If we go by the reasoning you have demonstrated in this thread, we can safely attribute Hillary Clinton's carelessness with classified documents in her e-mail to your dislike of her. We can also point to you as the cause of Bill Clinton's extramarital affairs. You are also responsible for Barack Obama's selection of a tan suit.

See how ridiculous that is?

The "crew" was Polosi's daughter and son-in-law. Did Mike Pence also have a "crew" there (family members), as well as other members of Congress with their families? Remember, almost everyone carries around an HD video camera these days in their telephones. That's how the mob who attacked the Capitol videoed themselves committing the crimes.

However, the fake concern to get everyone to safety is highly suspicious. They were not taking it seriously. There was no sense of any real emergency.
I don't know what video you have seen, but Congresspeople in general were taking things very seriously. For instance, Kevin McCarthy was scared out of his wits, barricading the doors and running away from the mob. The video of Polosi and other leadership (including Republicans) had been removed to a place of relative safety and were busy trying to get the National Guard and other forces to take back control of the Capitol. Pence also called Polosi to let her know where he was (notice he didn't call Trump), and she urged him to keep is location secret for his own safety. In that moment, Pence trusted Polosi more than the President.

You don’t stage a camera crew ahead of the highest ranking members of Congress when there is real concern for safety. They would be last in line, if in line at all.
Since the "crew" was her daughter, and the mob was specifically calling out Polosi's name as someone they planned to harm, you better believe that her daughter would have been transported with her mother.

Use your brain!

Nonsense. Saying it is "hogwash" doesn't make it false. There is a massive amount of evidence that Trump planned it that way from shortly after the election was called for Biden. The evidence has been uncovered by news media, witnesses (mostly Republicans) and the January 6th Committee. For you not to be aware of the evidence tells a lot about you and nothing about what really happened.

Fortunately, they have called former President Donald Trump to come before the committee to give his side of the story, since Trump's closest aides are not talking. Many of his top aides have tried to dodge subpoenas or have asserted their 5th Amendment right not to provide evidence of a potential crime.

It was a Trump ralley. Everyone showed up to support Trump. Apparently the FB0, and or cue lead some people inside to create trouble. There were claims that they were getting nancys laptop which had evidence of election fraud. I think that was propaganda by the FB0 or que, i don't really know. How many people were at the rally? I'll bet everyone of them thought the election stolen and were there there to support Trump. Those few that were led inside by undercover agents should be exposed. Not the people who were waved in. It was not an insurrection. Insurrection was done by the United States of America to Ukraine 2014 , violently overthrowing the elected goverment by nazis with guns. Now that is insurrection.

Those not in the know may have been more urgent in their efforts. That’s a red herring.

The question is, what did Nancy do? She leisurely walked and talked as they moved to another position. The camera crew was ahead of her getting it all down. Pelosi and her entourage weren’t concerned about safety. They only cared about posing for an audience and hyping the incident, blaming it on Trump.

If there had been real concern, and if they really believed Trump was behind it, they would have called in National Guard by the time he’d finished his speech. Or had them there in place before the event. They didn’t believe their own rhetoric at the time. The are lying and deceiving as usual.

However, the Dem Progressive Left are adept at manufacturing “evidence,” the Steele Dossier being a prime example. They have a vast network of liars and propagandists to do their work. The fake impeachment “evidence” is prime evidence of that.

yes, this whole thing was a farce and there's no reasoning with the left here, even the smartest ones are tone-deaf when it comes to anything Trump. They just wasted their time:

Jan. 6 Committee Admits Abject Defeat With Latest Action

looks almost certain that they will lose the House in a few weeks, and it will be well-deserved, them doing this nonsense while inflation is rampant, we're on the verge of a nuclear war, suffered a humiliating defeat in Afghanistan, going jackboot on people they don't agree with, spending tax-payer money they don't have, and on and on, yet all they care about is Trump, Trump. Trump.

Petty and vindictive is the name of their game, they failed to get orange man bad yet again.
