Everyone knows there's a difference between forcible rape and statutory rape. That's all that was being said.

This man is being crucified for a stupid statement. I don't believe that he was suggesting there is legitimate rape in the sense of legal or illegal rape but drawing a distinction between forcible rape and statutory rape!

It is tragic. Again, this man is being crucified for a stupid statement. The democrat, Clinton, was glorified by many for what was at least misogyny and at worst statutory rape. I suspect if the remark had been made absent the issue of abortion little would have been said!

Fill for a slow news cycle. The FBI hasn't made the headlines for arresting another one their paid informants for awhile. It'll pick up. The media is concentrating on demonizing the sovereign citizens movement right now won't be long before the headlines start up again.

Of course he meant legitimate rape. Like many mean he wants to qualify things so that the man does not have to take responsibility for his actions.

You are right, it was a stupid response, but it shows his basic thinking and it isn't pretty.

Lady, not when you look at this fellow and others of his ilk.

Not when you see the laws that folk like him have tried to pass in many states and have passed in some.

It is obvious that many of the men want to take the country back to who knows when ... it is obvious that many of these men want to put women back in their place, wherever they believe that place is located. I do not see why any women would vote for many of these men with such attitudes.

Crabtownboy I would call you stupid but I don't believe that. I simply believe you have serious problems of various and sundry kinds. Listening to you and other leftists one would think that all Conservatives hate their mothers, their sisters, their wives, and their female children. Actually it is Conservatives who are trying to prevent the slaughter of ~700,000 baby girls each year as well as ~700,000 baby boys.

It is leftists like you who are moving the country in the direction of sex selection in abortion. Girls slaughtered in the womb, boys given a reprieve. Now that is some kind of sick.

It bears repeating:

The rape/abortion debate needs to cease. The longer it goes on, and as long as Aiken stays in the race, the greater the negative effects on Romney who is already in an uphill race. It can also put in jeopardy any chance of the Republicans controlling the Senate. Obama wants him to stay in the race, you better believe.

You are right in saying that Romney and other Republicans would like this topic to stop being talked about. However the genie is out of the bottle and it will be difficult to put him back into the bottle.

The negative effect probably will go beyond Romney. It is hard to say how far, but surely it will not persuade any women to change their vote. It all pays into the perception that Republicans are anti-women. True or false it is perception that is important in politics.

I would agree with this statement.

Whether you agree or disagree concerning the perception that Republicans are against women read:

I agree. He has no choice but to withdraw given the outcry from the Republicans and their withdrawal of financial support. I still think Akin is getting the shaft! by a media full of people like Crabtownboy and assorted self righteous Republicans like Cornyn and McConnell.

Bless you, Crab boy. Again, the politics of Feminism: the immoral woman is always the victim.
I notice you fail to pass comment on the action of the man is such as case. Why is that?

I would call it sexual predation of a minor. And, in case you want to play your ludicrous 'politics of women' card again, I would call it that in the case of a 45-year old 'cougar' seducing a 15-year old boy too.
