Trust is something that is earned Bro Curtis. I will trust someone when they have proven to me that what they say is the same as what they do.

"Trust us we're the government" has to me so far shown how much it can't be trusted.

Ashcroft is far too radical to get elected. </font>[/QUOTE]That's not true. Baptists will not support a charismatic. It makes their doctrine look wrong.

Let's cut Condi's picture down to the size of the BB logo. She will not win against Hill in spite of what Dick Morris is saying to sell his book. She cannot win.

Oh my! I agree with CMG. George Bush is just keeping Hillary's seat warm for her. I'm not looking forward to the next chapter in American history after witnessing all the weapons Bush has been putting into her presidential arsenal.

Don't worry about it, poncho. I have enough trust and admiration for Condi to cover everyone on the Baptist Board. :D

Don't worry, Pancho. Hill will move to the left if she is elected and be just like the far right. She will agree with Peroutka that the war is illegal and she will withdraw immediately and she will repeal the Patriot Act as a gesture of friendliness to Islam. In fact, she will be just a prettier version of Peroutka. That should make you sleep sound, Poncho. The American people will turn to Hill because of her strong family background. She is all-American, the Democrat dream, mommy President--the far right fullfillment. [IMG]

I knew you wouldn't disappoint CMG. Every thread on elections must include the man who only garnered a few thousand votes.

Ponch is right. The GOP have given Senator Clinton all the weapons she needs rule. She will not repeal the Patriot Act, it gives her too much power.

But you know what? We will survive another Clinton presidency.

    We have survived some doozies.

With President Clinton and a GOP House and Senate the government will not be able to get much done. That is an ideal situation, IMHO. The less that Washington does the better off we all are.

I must recant my big AMEN because it dawned on me after I posted it how easily congress and the people can be swayed by terrorist threats, terror alerts and propaganda. I really can't see Hillary not using these things to her political advantage. I am grateful that the Dems don't seem to have the same level of PR expertise as the Republicans...yet.

But there is always that "liberal press".

I'm gonna start digging an underground dwelling just in case, you might not hear from me for awhile. :D

It's still a wonderment to me how presidential power can move between father and son, husband and wife and the basic bad policies of all four stay intact throughout and no one questions it.

With all due respect to Dick Morris and others, I see no way that Hillary Clinton will win in 2008. I think that the first woman and the first black president will be much more moderate than Hillary Clinton. Senator Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas would have a better chance in the 2008 general election than Senator Clinton would, IMO.

You all underestimate Hill. She wants to control the medical system not check out who took out a library book on how to make a hydrogen bomb in your garage. She will repeal the Patriot Act.

In fact, Hill might make Peroutka and Baldwin ambassadors to Palestine just to show that the left is on the same page as the far right. The far right will find nirvana in the Hill.
