Have you slept? You need to sleep
Thank you for the concern, I normally sleep at 2 am because I can sleep in as disabled.

Have you slept? You need to sleep
...It often just feels like the President doe himself a disservice by speaking off the cuff because what can come out of him when he does so sounds so petty. ...
I wish it were that simple.
So Trump made a comment somewhat like Ike's military-industrial complex, and there have been fraudulent contractors and vendors, and others have extended it?
I'm sorry, church mouse guy, I don't understand what point you are making. The words seem garbled to me. I'm just saying, if you make serious accusations against leaders, then you need to back them up. That's all I'm saying. I would prefer the President be more careful with these kind of off the cuff comments.
Its not that simple.I neither said nor implied that and I'm not going to caveat everything I say.
What he said was true. It has been true ever since WWII.I'm sorry, church mouse guy, I don't understand what point you are making. The words seem garbled to me. I'm just saying, if you make serious accusations against leaders, then you need to back them up. That's all I'm saying. I would prefer the President be more careful with these kind of off the cuff comments.
Yeah, I like the movie, too, including Deleted Scenes. According to the general who advised it, who just happened to be the heroic colonel in it, that movie finally “got it right.”I want to ask, what about "We Were Soldiers?" I like that movie a lot and would like to know how it connects to our conversation. Also as political appointees, if they are crooked like the President says, then why not ask for their resignations? If the Secretary of State or Defense was so crooked, they don't deserve the job. Again, I'll talk more later.
I never read where he said anything other than some contractors were making too much. Do you have the full quotation?
I found the quote I referred to,
"I'm not saying the military is in love with me. The soldiers are. The top people in the Pentagon probably aren't because they want to do nothing but fight wars so that all of those wonderful companies that make the bombs, make the planes, make everything else stay happy," Trump said.
I'm not saying the military industrial complex is not a problem. That said, we do need to buy a lot of equipment for two decades to have an unfair fight with the Russians and Chinese. What I am saying is respected people he chose for those jobs in the first place, should have a fair hearing instead of an off the cuff comment.
That is not the same as your original charge.
Looking at the OP, you are right. I was angry at the time and got hot headed, I am sorry. I still believe the Presidents comments were a bad thing to do to his appointees without evidence offered. I think if he made an off the cuff comment he can't prove, he should apologize. If he can prove it, throw the whole lot of them out.
Stephen, just based on MY interpretation of your comments, I feel that you are an honest & fair minded guy, & like me, you tend to trust until that trust is violated.
Having this observation, I feel that you are placing your trust in a vapor, cuz the MSM have proven multiple times over that they will lie just like the democrats (I repeat myself), so anything they print/broadcast should be taken as a lie until it can be verified.
For instance how many times did we hear that "I have PROOF in my office of Trump's collusion with Russia", only to never see that proof & the whole facade of an investigation fell on it's face.
And when at least 75-90% of said media's coverage is sourced "ANONYMOUSLY", what does that tell you about the veracity of the coverage??
IOW, don't take anything you hear from the MSM as truth until further verification!
(By their fruits you shall know them!)
President Trump has demonstrated a tendency to cast a light on, things and/or entities, that don't like to have a light cast upon them. He's been kicking dangerous ant beds, that need to be kicked, throughout his presidency. Rendering a greater transparency and awareness to American society of the things that creep around in the dark.
