This isn't a forum on eschatology to discuss the gazillion different interpretations involved in that subject.

I just passed along a Scripture that I thought might help, that's all.

Those are people who persist "in having pleasure in unrighteousness" (i.e. are "hardened" or "given over"). It is not talking about people thinking they were saved but then fell away because God only gave them an "incomplete" faith.

Yes, I know.

I guess, romanbear, because I am just simply stupid.

After reading this I figured that this must be a type-o. My Heavenly Father has never decieved anyone. It's just not possible. Satan is the Father of lies. Who do you follow, deciet ,or Truth and justice.
Very true RB for as scripture says "God Himself does not tempt ANYONE" James 1:13.

God is the source of all things good.

However to those that turn from the light (for the LIGHT SHINES IN DARKNESS and men LOVED darkness rather than light) - we find that God leaves them to reap the results of turning from the supernatural "DRAWING of ALL MEN unto Him".

In Christ,

Bob

Of those who love darkness it is said they refuse to come to the light because their deeds will be made manifest; so God is not at fault at all.

No question God is NOT at fault for INSTEAD of saying "the Light shone in SOME dark areas but did not CARE for others" we find that Christ is the light of "EVERY MAN". God is not at fault for God DRAWS and reaches out to EVERY MAN convicting "The WORLD of Sin and Righteousness and Judgment".

You are correct - God is not at fault.

In Christ,

Hi Frogman
A quote from you;
------------------------------------------
Of those who love darkness it is said they refuse to come to the light because their deeds will be made manifest; so God is not at fault at all.
------------------------------------------
True there sins will be seen by God and the embarrassment of the things I did before saved is just plain awful. I don't claim to be anything special, because I came to the light. I came because the word says He would forgive my sins and give me a new heart. I wanted to be cleaned of the by the blood of Christ. As white as snow. When we come to the light we are in righteousness because it is the will of the Father for all to come to Him. He is the light

You just paraphrased Romans 10.14

I came because: 1) the word says
2) He would forgive my sins and
3) give me a new heart

According to your statement, when did you believe this? After you repented only? Or before you came did you not come simply because you believed? That is what I read in Romans 10.14 and that is what I read in your testimony. To which I say Amen!

God Bless.

Hi frogman;
I believed for a long time but I wasn't saved untill I repented. My life and the things I did didn't change either until I ask for forgiveness.

One of the biggest frustrations is that we cannot be born again untill we believe and still then we have to repent.

I think the nicest thing about the debate for our doctrine is that it makes our faith stronger. No matter what side your on at least we agree on the basics. That Jesus is the son of God and he died for our sins and rose again on the 3rd day and is with the Father in Heaven. The Bible says if you believe then you are His.

I agree with you Romanbear about the essentials, but still there can be only one truth; (I think I have some highlanders in my ancestry :D )

No, but seriously, Jesus said no one can see nor enter into the kingdom except he be born again, he did not say that we must enter the kingdom in order to be born again.

I do not doubt any man's testimony, Rom. 8.16; but not all that is taken and taught as doctrine is truth; I am a sinner saved by grace, and if not a sinner in need not of a saviour, nor grace.

God Bless Brother.

Interesting that you say it like this, "I do not doubt any man's testimony, Rom. 8.16; but not all that is taken and taught as doctrine is truth; I am a sinner saved by grace, and if not a sinner in need not of a saviour, nor grace."

In God's grace I am a sinner saved through faith! (just like Abraham). I was a sinner in need of a savior, but now I am saved, because I have a savior, provided by, and to be, God's grace.

In the old and new testaments it is man's faith in God that saves the man!

Exodus 19:1  ¶In the third month, when the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day came they into the wilderness of Sinai.
2  For they were departed from Rephidim, and were come to the desert of Sinai, and had pitched in the wilderness; and there Israel camped before the mount.
3  And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel;
4   Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself.
So much for your premise...what was it the other day you said the slave can be free by wishing it so?

Grace from eternity is the fountainhead of the Blood of the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world.

Grace and Grace alone moved God to provide himself a sacrifice (Abram to Isaac)

Gen. 22
7  And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?
8  And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.

Hebrews 1:1  ¶God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2  Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
3  Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

Grace moved God the Father to provide; Grace moved God the Son to become the lamb for the sacrifice; all is founded upon Grace. Grace moves the Holy Spirit to quicken the dead sinner.

Hebrews 12:2  Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

God Bless.
