    Just a few thoughts on the show last night. It seems to me that we were seeing the same arguements that Satan used in the garden. Notice how Donahue and the liberal from Union Seminary stated the same thing. They both expressed a belief in univeralism. Remember how Satan said to Eve, "you will not die". Then Satan really called God a liar when he said "has God said". Notice the liberals were also calling God a liar last night. Really there has not been a change since the beginning of time.

    The left wing is still arrogant and still refuses to believe. That is what we saw last night.

    Hi everyone;
    I would think that any one would know that the Phil Donahue show is a production. It's directed by men you don't even see on the screen and those involved in it are sometimes unaware of this and are duped in to thinking that they have a chance to get there point across.The only point that will come across to the public is what The producers want to get across.Which is why it's called a show.It is not a fair debate and I would think that anyone appearing on something like this would know this.It's obvious that the general public doesn't know this and this is why he has an audience.Even the audience on the show are hand picked by the producers, to get the kind of show they want.All the while the TV audience is made to think that the majority of people in the world think Phil is right.It's clearly a one sided show.

    My wife and I were talking about that kind of thing at the first comercial break. She brought up that she was surprised that Dr. Mohler would go on because they're going to distort what he says and take it out of context. But we also realized that no matter what, if Dr. Mohler acted as a Christian through the show, not flying off the handle and yelling the whole time, it would stand in stark contrast to Rabbi Shmuly, who didn't last 5 minutes without yelling. (BTW Dr. Mohler and the Messianic Jew both displayed great Christian attitudes if you ask me.)

    The other thing we realized is this. Dr. Mohler, the Messianic Jew and Flip were all quoting scripture. Basing what they had to say on scripture. I heard John 14:6 probably 5 or 6 times. Regardless of how hard the producers try, they don't have more power than God's word. I believe that this endeavor will be a fruitful one. Regardless of if the audience was hand picked and the producers were running the show (and I agree that they are) God's word still has more power.

    Kind of like Joseph in Gen 50. Only instead of his brothers, place Phil D. and the show's executives.

    This really should not surprise anyone that the majority of people on these television shows basically disagree with true Christianity. Basically this is an anti-Christ spirit that is trying to pave the way for the man of sin to appear. Did not Peter say that in the last day men would scoff at the idea of the Lord coming again?

    1. Same Phil show from the 70's.

    2. The complete lack of Bible knowledge from those in the audience. Our churches are failing in teaching Doctrine.

    I posted something like this in another forum, but think it's got merit here:

    I didn' watch the show, but from what it sould like, those Christian folks on the program lacked any knowlege of apologetics. Sadly, the two things that our seminaries doen't seem to be emphasizing these days is becoming versed in apologetics and learning the fine art of public speaking.

    It's not that they couldn't put together an argument, they were shouted down before they could say anything. Neither the audience nor Donahue would let them speak.
