PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL LAWS OF MOSES AND CHRIST
Hebrews 9.1-28
In these chapter Paul reminded Jews about Rituals and Ceremonies of the First Old Covenant, about mortality of the priests, their duties and obligations before the Lord, and their sacrifices for themselves and for the people of Israel.
By saying all of these things Paul let Hebrews know that their service cannot continue forever because of the disobedience of people and the most important, the lack of Spiritual Faith and Spiritual Dedication to GOD, the absence of Love, Mercy, and Compassion, the Ritualistic Part of the Law cannot fulfill. People do not understand, and even today, that the rituals of the Law is only physical sign of Spirituality behind them, and Spirituality comes first and then the physical signs of it in terms of rituals, as the proof of the Spiritual Love, Spiritual Faith, Spiritual Dedication to the Lord GOD,, and Obedience to His Word from the whole heart and from the whole soul of His worshipers.
By Rituals and Ceremonies alone people never achieve the Spiritual connection with GOD, and because of it they fall out from the Spiritual Moral Path of GOD, and suffer greatly from all the calamities what fall on them, all of it because of their own disobedience to the Spiritual Moral Laws of Moses, lack of fear of GOD, wickedness, transgressions, and evil way of life.
Under such conditions it is impossible to maintain relationship with GOD on the Spiritual level, the level on which the Love, Faith, Hope, Mercy, and Compassion match the Spiritual Qualities of GOD and establishes the firm bond between the Holy Spirit of GOD and the spirit of His people, forever.
Constant sacrifices for sins no longer have expected effect, because they done without regret and repent, and continuously performed despite continuous sins of the worshipers who have no Spiritual Regret, no Spiritual Sorrow, and no Spiritual Repent for their iniquities and transgressions against the Lord. People assume that offer of a sacrifice would forgive their sins, and people sin over and over again thinking that they can sin as much as they want, as long as they will bring a sacrifice for their sins. It does not work this way.
They also do not understand that the sacrifices are designed to cover only unintentional sins and not intentional sins, for which there is no remedy of sacrifices that can forgive and save the sinner.
In verses 11-28 Paul explained the Mission of Christ that will give Spirituality to His people and save their souls from this world. First of all, the Jesus Christ is a New High Priest who does not die but live and serve the GOD His Father forever, He is the Highest of the highest in everything and particularly in the priesthood.
The Jesus Christ is also the Highest Sacrifice of all sacrifices, which is Eternal for all generations and times to come. His Blood is Highest of the highest, the Blood of GOD shed for the people of the Earth to save the souls of those who accepted His Great Self-Sacrifice for them.
GOD forgive not according to gifts, donations, and sacrifices presented to Him, but He forgive people according to their Spiritual Love, Faith, Mercy, Compassion, Hope, Dedication and Loyalty to GOD, and according to Obedience to His Word, to His Statutes and to His Commandments. All people who live according to the Spiritual Will and Spiritual Word of GOD, they no longer live according to the written Physical Ritualistic Laws but united their spirits with the Holy Spirit of GOD. In this Spiritual Union the physical Rituals of the Law no longer valid and needed, such people already fulfill entire Law in their spirit.
The First Physical Ritualistic Covenant is a temporary Covenant based on Physical Rituals and Physical Ceremonies. This first Covenant was like a *directional sign (Galatians 3.25) that direct the people to another, much greater Covenant, the Spiritual Covenant of the Spiritual Commandments of the Law of Moses.
~ *directional sign. "Tutor" in KSB and Gideons, "Schoolmaster" in KJV, "Guardian" in ESV, "Babysitter" in Russian.
This second Renewed Covenant that came from the first Covenant is directly connected by its Spirituality to GOD'S Spiritually, not like the first Covenant that at first connected people to GOD through the Physical Rituals and Physical sacrifices. While both Covenants contain Spiritual Statutes and Commandments of GOD, it was necessary to make emphasis only on Spirituality of the Law in order to covert people from the physical Ritualistic worship into the Spiritual worship of GOD.
So, in order to better explain these differences to Hebrews, Paul converted and exposed the Physical Rituals and Ceremonies in their Spiritual background and connected Physical matter to its Spiritual essence and matter (Hebrews 8.4-5). In this sense the Christ became the Spiritual extension of the Law and its extended end (Romans 10.4-5), which was forgotten by its worshipers, but He did not dismiss Rituals completely, because even Physical Ritualistic sacrifices and ceremonies are all based on the Spiritual essence and matter of the One Who Commanded them, and also on the one who perform them. Now, Jesus Christ represents all Physical Sacrifices in Himself and became One and Only Physical Sacrifice for all who accept Him, and for all times to come.
Jesus Christ combined all Rituals into one Spiritual context and substance in order to connected them to their original Spiritual Matter in Heaven (Hebrews 8.4-5). So, all who worship GOD according to Spirituality of Christ will worship His GOD Father Spiritually, from his or her spirit, forever (John 4.23-24).
As a conclusion to his writing, Paul end this theme with words, "And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once, and after this comes Judgment." verse 27.
Paul remand readers that after death will be the Judgment Day, and everyone will be judged according to their Spiritual Faith and according to their physical Deeds (Romans 2.11-16) that shall prove their Spiritual Faith.
