Maybe this will make these Somalian cretins think twice before messing with a ship flying our colors.

Absolutely agree with that statement. I was wondering this morning about why this stratagy has not been used in that area of the world. The international community needs to get tough with these pirates. With all the ills that Somalia has to endure, saddly, piracy offers the best financial reward and yet it is no excuse to endanger lives of others. If the snipers had missed or the hostage been killed , Obama would have hung out one United States Navy Captian to dry.

And you are privy to this info how? I get the feeling that no matter what the President does, you will make suppositions about what "MIGHT" have happened. Your stream of non stop negativism is tiring. Give the man credit where due. I criticize where I feel he errs, but he isn't always wrong, regardless of your statements.

Pretty doggone effective, especially in WWI. Give the pirates 2 or 3 attacks on "helpless" boats that annihilate them...and their buddies might just take up another, safer career, such as alligator wrestling, arsenic taste-tester, or befriending OJ Simpson.

Kudos to the US President and military for sorting this one out. Put the remaining 'pirate' * on trial in the US and lock him away for the rest of his sorry life.

*I do hate that term - it conjures up quasi-romantic images of Johnny Depp and Co swanning around the Caribbean. These guys are criminals, plain and simple.
