*stands out on the overgrown front lawn looking at what's become of the Pit Stop, a single, solitary tear rolling down my face*

thinking: *Man, somebody needs to do something about the Pit Stop. The old place looks like it's ready to fall in. I wonder if that old legend about making a wish and breaking some glass is true.*

*picks up a rock and throws it at the 2nd floor window, missing by a country mile, looking around, hoping nobody saw, chuckles to myself*

Yep, just like Nuke LaLoosh, I couldn't hit water if I fell out of a boat.

Oh well, this place has gone downhill ever since Scarlett left. Without her, it's just not as much fun making fun of cats.

*notices blackbird, waving as I walk away*

Good news on the house, blackbird!

Maybe it's time to have a Homecoming, with a big 'ol potluck dinner with all day singin' on the grounds.

I'm allergic to bananas, so you guys can fight over my portion. In fact, I'll trade my portion of bananas for your portion of chocolate-covered strawberry shortcake.

Hey Blackbird, maybe it's time for you to hold Revival Services for the Pit Stop. You think a services for a week would be long enough, or should you preach longer than that?

After listening to the politicians yapping and how the media reports what they said.....

New headline: "Radical Alabama Preacher Calls Yankees Hogs"

The follow up story: "Southern Minister Fuels North-South Tensions" (South-North Tensions for papers south of M-D line)

California paper reports "Pork will kill you and cause all sorts of illnesses"

Looo-see-anna paper reports "Former Redstick Resident Raises a Big Ole Hog"

Blackbird's Church Newsletter: "Hog Slaughter on Saturday" Still need one person to tend to the cracklins.

Overheard in Army HQ's---from the lips of General George Custer himself

"If it leads to an encounter-----it will only be a brief skermish!!!"

Ain't it kinda hard to keep 'em lit?:tongue3:

Madre and I were in Kentucky last month and had breakfast at one of them Shoney's.... You can't get one of them breakfast buffets up here in the soon-to-be frozen Nawth. Local place makes a big fuss out of "Belgian" waffles. One stinkin' waffle with a bunch of foofy stuff for $7.95.

For that money I sat at Shoney's 'til Madre says we had to go......
