Our own Baptist Board Administrator, Dr. Bob, is in the emergency room having, apparently, suffered a stroke. Please keep him and his family in prayer.

May the healing power of God Almighty fall upon our brother. In Jesus's name we pray this.

May the Lord bless him and heal him, if it is His will and He has more for Dr. Bob to do.

May He comfort his family in their time of trial and need, and may He deliver them from uncertainty and fear through His power and grace.
Last of all, may Dr. Bob always remember that even as his body fails, he has hope.

Hope that some day, he will have a new body...
One that is not subject to the wear of years, the pain of infirmity, and the frailness of getting older.
Hope that he will see his Saviour soon, even should He grant Bob a few more years ( or even decades ) in this life.

In Jesus' name.

May God's peace and strength be upon Dr Bob in his time of difficulty. May his family as well be encouraged.

I heard from Dr. Bob.

Contrary to public wishes, I did not die Monday. I had preached on the death of Paul in my final message from II Timothy and said a metaphorical "Good bye to him. Now there was a real chance to talk with Paul personally.

God spared my life by my Lord who evidently still has more for me to do.

Then by my wife getting me so quickly to the hospital.

Then by Amy in triage who called "Code Stroke" and fired up the whole ER in high speed.

I had a massive stroke paralyzing my whole left side. Unable to walk and slurred talk.

Then by CT labs blowing apart tests (and my arm) to rule out brain bleed.

Then the magic clot-busting series of drugs.

Now tests (CAT Scan, MRI, Esophocal Heart camera) and lots of therapy.

I go to Neuro Ward Wednesday but no guarantee beyond that.

But alive and rejoicing in the day

Keep him in your prayers.
