What are the issues that influence your support for a political candidate? What are your “lines in the sand” (the issues that would prevent you from supporting a candidate or party regardless of other issues)?

I was wondering because I am evaluating my position. If I look at economics, the role of the government, foreign policy, the military, etc., then I lean towards Republican. But for the past decade these have not been the issue for me. My “line in the sand” prevents me from voting Democrat so for me there is little choice. Abortion is my "line in the sand." Biblical marriage is another.
