The best pizza by far is at a little place called Nicks in Aiken, South Carolina. The second best is the pizza that my wife makes!

SIR PIZZA the best ever.

I had a Sir Pizza outside the Naval Weapon Station in Goose Creek, SC. I thought that was the only Sir Pizza in the country?

Are there any Shakeys left?

Time to hear from another New York Pizza Snob!

The best pizza you ever wanted to eat came from Padre's. We sold 25,000 pizzas our first year in a village of 600 people. We made our own dough (50 lb bag of flour), had our own propriety sausage made every week by two Italian brothers named Broccolli, shredded our cheese and the sauce is a secret. We sold the place 4 years ago but still have folks stopping us on the street asking when we're going to reopen.

Talk about snobbery? I haven't had a pie since we sold! Our old place has changed hands 3 or 4 times since we walked away. The rest of the places are cardboard and ketchup shops - pre-made shells and canned sauce.

More snobbery? Upstate and Central New York has either New York style pizza which is a hand-tossed dough cooked directly on the stone deck of the oven or Sicilian style - thicker pan baked crust.

Even more New York pizza snobbery? Pizza and wings! A large and 30 for $18.95. I've been other places and you either order pizza or wings but not both as a combo. Somebody didn't get the memo.

To those CA Pizza Kitchen fans, I have thoroughly enjoyed their frozen pizzas. Thanks for the promo of them.

I will have to try their actual kitchen when I get a chance.

Oh, and Hawaiian pizza, described by one writer, known by the nickname sars, as, "that miscarriage of portable cuisine..." Pineapple on pizza? I mean, come on.

Now, now, I like pineapple on any/everything, including pizza.

Signed,
Not a pizza snob.
