The moments are passing! The momentum seems to be swinging in Blackbird's direction! With each setting of the sun and the rising again of the same---Blackbird pushes ahead in the campaign trail---He repeats---he repeats---He WILL NOT let the "Fat Lady" sing until its quiet obvious that he should be declared the winner!!!

LadyEagle!!!! Blackbird has noticed that you have stated that you have not voted!! Those five votes in Blackbird's corner sure would help "spring the trap shut" and draw this race to a close----lets see---lets see----a campaign promise for LadyEagle here!!! Titan tickets?? Vols(your team) play in the Championship game instead of LSU(Blackbird's team)??---name it!!!

He should be somewhere between "Saggywoman" and "saved girl". I have looked and looked for his name, but can't seem to find him? What's up with that???

Here's the projected outcome of the "other" 1000 you project---

1000 other members X 5 votes apiece= 5000 votes

5000 votes for Blackbird---yes, Webmaster---Blackbird is projecting that ---- before he lets the "Fat Lady" sing!!

 

Sadly, I counted the number of votes last year and there were a TOTAL of about 369. I don't know how many votes each person cast but if 150 have voted so far and at approx. 5 votes each, we're up to 750 so more than last year.

Yes! But you see, Tav! Blackbird wasn't on the list last year!!! You gotta give credit where credit is due---to deBlackbirdy!! He's been out scramblin' for the vote---shakin' "cyber" hands! Kissin' "Cyber" babies! Twistin' "Cyber" arms!! That has helped, you know!!

 

Diane, we could vote for 10 people last year.

It was a different system. We nominated 10 people and then the webmaster counted the nominations and whoever had the most nominations won.

 

Ah.... Well I added up the actual votes in the results Webmaster posted and the total was 369 so people either voted for 10 and 37 people voted or they voted for less than 10. Not much of a voter turn out either way.

The results are still on the thread where this years members were nominated. You can add them up yourself if anyone is interested.

Weeeeeeeel! Weeeeeeeeel! Blackbird WAS on that last year's list after all!! Blackbird assures the reader that those 4 votes did not go wasted!

And yes---Congrats to Helen of last year---I'm sure the leather interior of that Caddy has "conformed" to her image!!!

Rumor has it that Blackbird will not ask for the usual winnin' Caddy---like Helen received---but will in its place ask for a custom made Harley Davidson tourin' 'bike, a Louisiana Traveler Aluminum Bass Boat with a 70 Horsepower Mercury Outboard and a Minn-Kota foot controled trollin' motor----and for being a good sport this year in all of his posts---Blackbird will ask Webmaster to throw in a Remington 870 12 guage pump shotgun!!! And thats just the first month's winnings!!!!!

Blackbird doesn't think that "The Tav" will be that generous in her "askin'" for the special prizes!!!! And Blackbird has a feeling that Webmaster will get his feelin's hurt if the winner doesn't ask for all of the "extra" gifts!!!

 

A boat? Aw, I figured the blackbird would want a red truck....a BIG red truck, LOL!!

 

WHAT??? The Grif gave ALL his votes to somebody other that Blackbird??? After all of the fishin' and huntin'expos Blackbird took him on---and actually LET The Grif catch the "Big One!!!" and shoot somethin' other than the "Antler-less Ones???" HE turned ALL of THAT down for a plate of "Christmas goodies???" We'll just see about THAT!!

But you know somethin'? Through the many many years Blackbird had had to endure Southern Baptist business meetings----he has never lost his cool----he will remain calm and collective and will just "shake it off" and go on because

Well, so far I, CJ have not received anything from Diane and I know I would be right up there at the top of her list!!

However, she may be on to something here! I think I would like my bri...er, Christmas presents BEFORE the voting takes place!! Who's to say if I vote for someone based on campaign promises, they will fulfill the promises? That's putting an awful lot of faith in us mere humans, don't you think?

So, Blackbird...for my vote, send the cruise tickets, the keys to the condo in Hawaii, the limo's license number and the maid's credentials to me, and you've got my vote, sure as shootin'!! You have plenty of time to send them BEFORE the voting deadline!!

Here are the instructions:

Blackbird has a special po box located in Ruston, LA(where Blackbird is a Tech grad)---anyway---the box is highly sensitive

You give me the votes and Blackbird will deliver the goods---PS---the box is guarded by Blackbird's Rottweiler/Doberman gang---they were puppies when Blackbird graduated---and now are seasoned vets!! Remember! No tricks!

 

Well Blackbird was just in my driveway eating at some bugs that lit there in the warm sunshine... I think he's spying on me to see if I might be packing up goodies for votes! LOL
