Wow, I'm WAY behind here! Time to work on my campaign...
Ladies and Gentlemen, you're not casting enough votes for me. You're voting for other people. If you don't knock it off I'll commence a hostile takeover of the board, paint it pink with green polka dots, and put up cute pictures of kittens in the theology forum. No pictures of food will be allowed, and all smilies will be banned unless they have my face on them. The all other discussions forum will be closed with the exception of 3:30-3:45 on Saturdays. Posters will be divided alphabetically and allowed to only post on assigned days of the week. All posting names will be required to be non-gender specific. Cheesy midi's will play when you click onto the board, and you'll have to go offline in order to make them stop after you click off. Every topic will be in it's own set of frames.
On top of that I'll raise taxes. Yep, I have that power!

Well, I have just enough votes to say thank you, but not enough to be popular. So, I will concede the vote to the one with the higher number, but remember, that is just the popular vote. There is still the electoral college under your system. I will remind you at this point, I have friends in high places...(the sound of There'll Always Be an England....playing in the background) and I shall overcome, as I face those shores of yore, and raise the flag of victory.....Yes, victory in Jesus. Ninety Nine!!!!!! Since you're "Throwin' in the Towel" so early in the match------ummmmmm----what are you gonna do with your "excess" votes??? There's bound to be a way to relay the votes you got to Blackbird's corner!! How about a "SnowBird" hide-a-way in Key West??? Good enough?? You'll be reeeeeeeeeel close to your girl down there!!!!

Blackbird ain't throwin' in no towel----after the "Fat Lady" sings---and Blackbird finds out he lost by just a couple---He's gonna demand an "Ancore" until we straighten the mess out and Blackbird is declared the winner-----

Well! IN that case---does this mean that if you decide to "throw in the towel" like my pal, Ninety Nine did---that you're gonna let Blackbird have all your votes??

Blackbird will have to check the rules---you knoooooow----take Webby Master out for lunch---take him fishin' and huntin'--get on his good side---know what I mean---and when Blackbird does that----he'll ask about the rule that says---if all contenders "throw in the towel" except one---the member of the year automatically goes to the one lone contender left!!!

Would everyone agree on that simple rule?? Helen??

Well I see this evening that the campaign is heating up! It's gonna be a great race!! I'm waiting till "election day" to vote. I could win big if I play my cards right!!

Pray do tell, what does the Member of the Year GET for all their bribes/campaign promises? Do they just go into the Baptist Board Hall of Fame? Or do they win enough cash and prizes to pay for all the promises... (like the cruise, the limo, and the cabin on Oahu, just as an example...hint hint)? There's some big promises out there!

 

Barnabas did mention cash and a car but I think that was for the second place winner! LOL

I think it's one of the 'pat yourself on the back' products.
