They oppose health care for children and the elderly in need, they oppose most social programs that help children in need, the GOP wants to gut WIC, they want to gut Meals on Wheels, etc., etc. That makes them pro-death for the living. And not only that but Trump proposed cutting services to the poor and elderly to give tax breaks to the most wealthy in our society.

Please don't tell me that the GOP cares for children, the elderly and the poor. Thanks.

Those actions are NOT the responsibility of the Federal Govt
If anything it would be up to the State/Commonwealth.

YES the GOP does care for kids , the old ect.
"conservatives donate about 30 percent more (to charity) than do liberals."

and often a private charity can do much better work than the govt.

Is that because the rich ( Top 20% pay some 60% of all taxes - and the bottom 40% pay zero dollars in income tax???

This is one of the things which drew me to the Democrat party in my youth - their liberalism in terms of services to humanity under JFK.

Then came LBJ, then George Wallace then Selma Alabama 3/7/65 then their endorsement of abortion.

Why inherit the sins of a political party by registering with them?

Just continue to give and to serve the needy going around the corruption of greedy politicians.

As Winston Churchill said, "A young man who is not a liberal has no heart, and an old man who is not a conservative has no brain."

I tend to agree. :)

Young people see all the wrong in the world and want to change it. Good for them.

Old people realize somebody has to pay for all that change. Good for them.

So, your answer is "none." You haven't adopted any at-risk children? Made them your own? Gave them your name? Made them your heirs? Not to mention gave them your heart, forever?

And you speak from ignorance. I did not say none werre not at risk ... whatever you mean by that. You do not know the situation. You do know if I offered to adopt and was refused. You know nothing about their situation or mine.

I can always make any or all heirs. That does not require adoption. Silly objection on your part.

They have my heart forever and they know it. I told them and I continue to tell them and I love their children and have told them.

Giving my name means little or nothing. Action, help, love and support is much more important.

And none of this has anything to do with the GOP being willing to let children, the elderly, the ill to suffer by cutting support that would help them. None of you sophomoric suggestions has anything to do with the GOP being willing to help the super rich at the expense of those I mentioned above.

The GOP is pro-birth, but is unwilling to give help the these folk when the are alive outside the womb.

Again you speak from ignorance. You obviously do not know the3 difference between liberal and conservative in England vs. America.

[QUOTE="Crabtownboy, post: 2343718, member: 8754"Being pro-birth does not make a person pro-life. Pro-life means before and after birth. The GOP is not pro-life. [/QUOTE]

Neither are the jackasses.

If anything it would be up to the State/Commonwealth.

I beg to differ. What kind of government does not take care of its people who are in need?

YES the GOP does care for kids , the old ect.

May or may not be true. But that does not mean the GOP pursues policies that are intended to help the groups mentioned. Instead they want to cut such programs and give aid to the rich.

Is that because the rich ( Top 20% pay some 60% of all taxes - and the bottom 40% pay zero dollars in income tax???

That does not mean they do not pay any taxes. They pay sales taxes, excise taxes, and property taxes, payroll taxes that help support Social Security and Medicare.

Also, that figure only shows how dysfunctional our system is that has been created primarily by GOP administrations. It also shows how GOP inspired economics have kept people down and in great need.

A suite of new NBC News/Marist polls has found that majorities in three key states that helped tip the election for President Donald Trump now say they feel "embarrassed" by his conduct in office.

The polls released Sunday show that nearly two-thirds of registered voters in Pennsylvania (63%), Wisconsin and Michigan (both 64%) said they are embarrassed by Trump's conduct as President, while only about a quarter of registered voters in those states said they are "proud" of it.
Trump's approval ratings in those states are slightly better but still show that most disapprove of his performance
