Poofy hair is a distraction?

Amen!!

I think you're all trying to be "politically correct" to the extreme here. You're afraid of insulting the girl for letting it "grow natural." Well, folks, sorry, but you're all wrong. That mass of hair would be distracting in a classroom, particularly for anyone sitting behind her. And Gina ... I don't care how much money Diana Ross has, there were times her hair was distracting from her singing ability. All you could do was stare at the hair and wonder how she could keep her head balanced with all that flying around.

The school was right. I said yesterday "so what" but after looking at the video a couple more times, she needs to do something about it before she goes to class. Done here.

Disconnected, you're talking to me again. Someone else said what you're responding to. Hey, at least I'm IN the thread this time...that's an improvement.

(and how many guys here are just jealous that she HAS hair to speak of? HMMM? No, don't send the bears after me, you know it's true... :p )

I'm over 60 and have a fully head of hair, thank you very much. Don't believe me, take a look at my profile. The photo is just over a year old -- I'm actually about 20 lbs. lighter now. No lighter in the hair department, though.

A few observations. You are in the military I assume. That means the ability to answer to those in authority. You are very flippant about the authority of a moderator, who is your authority on this board. Next, an observation by you does not translate into fact. Most of all, you are doing the side step on the racial situation remark. You are called on it, and now, it is not the choice of yes or no is it a racial situation, it is the degree of racial situation. Any lame brain could have read a short paragraph and known it was not a racial situation.

I also wanted to thank you for demeaning my education level with the third grade comment. One must wonder, if you are in the Army, did you fail and Navy and Air Force test? And were you forced there because you failed the college entrance exam and the McDonalds hiring process?

As has already been stated, a moderator did not and cannot issue a command to "leave the girl alone". It was his opinion that the girl should be left alone.

And, it WAS a racial situation due to the fact that the people who decided to suspend her were not sensitive to the difference in hair between black and white people.

I want to thank you for giving me the opportunity to demean your education by using a third grade tactic. Actually, I didn't even demean your education. You did. If you've got more intelligence than a third grader, then you did yourself a disservice by using third grade tactics.

Normally, I'd just ignore your obvious personal attack, but since you asked, allow me an opportunity to brag. I scored a 141 GT score on the ASVAB, with an overall score of 99 on the ASVAB. In other words, I scored the highest possible score. I had letters from the Navy, marines, and air force trying to recruit me. I also have a bachelor's degree. I tested out my IQ at 148. Simply put, I chose the army. Incidentally, I did actually manage a McDonalds while working my way through college.

So, again, while I'd normally just ignore a blatant personal attack like that and let the moderators dole out justice (which is actually their function), I decided to refute your attack. It tasted a little sweeter.

Why do people care how her hair looks????

Get a life people!

Exactly. Interesting that individual rights types and freedom loving people get their shorts in a knot because someone wants to wear their hair a particular way.

Or is it a matter of the student trying to push the the rules to the limt.

Has anyone seen the student gude books?

Again, I say, it's up to the school - and further it's time that students learn to adept.
I know for a fact that Sapper has had to adapt quite a bit since he has joined the Army. (I'm just wondering when he is going to go to OCS?)
