Pope Ellen White CONTRADICTING Herself and scriptures

Daniel 7:10 (KJV)
A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened

Revelation 20:12 (KJV)
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works

Let's now consult the infallible interpreter of both NT and OT;

The books of record in heaven, in which the names and the deeds of men are registered, are to determine the decisions of the judgment. Says the prophet Daniel: ‘The judgment was set and the books were opened’ [Dan. 7:10]. The Revelator, describing the same scene, adds: ‘Another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged out of those things, which were written in the books, according to their works.’ Revelation 20:12.

According to EGW, the events described in Daniel 7:10 and Revelation 20:2 are one and the same.

What's the problem with that?
1. According to Adventism, the books opened in Daniel 7:10 is an ongoing heavenly judgement which started in 1844 and will terminate at Christ's return. They call it Investigative Judgement (IJ) and because it happens BEFORE Christ's second advent,it is pre-advent

2. Revelation 20:12 books opened refer to an event after the resurrection of the saints (20:4) which is placed 1,000 years before.

Adventists believe the resurrection of 20:4 is a literal event yet future and before it, the Investigative Judgement of Daniel 7:10 must be complete. So equating Rev 20:12, an event that happens AFTER the resurrection of 20:4 , to Daniel 7:10 is illogical

A simple illustration;
Adventists teach that;

But in the above quote;
1844<~~Dan 7:10/Rev 20:12 IJ~~~>Rev 20:4 Resurrection

Were this a minor historical inaccuracy, or a grammar issue, she can be excused, but this is a foundational doctrine of Investigative Judgement.

I can see in the spirit he is going to paste all colors of the rainbow, all fonts, and indents and wild and random verses. He will play dumb.....or he will just be the dumb thing an Adventist can be.

This is no ad hominem. Once you submit to the inspired inerrancy of a personality be it Watchtower Society,Mary Eddy Baker,Joseph Smith or Ellen White, you can't even think of contradicting them. So the group's collective IQ is never higher than the founder's

Before you accuse me of semantics, please look at how the phrase 'same scene' is applied elsewhere on the same book

and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not Me, saith the Lord of hosts." Malachi 3:5. Jude refers to the same scene when he says, "Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of His saints, to execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds." Jude 14, 15. This coming, and the coming of the Lord to His temple, are distinct and separate events.

To Ellen White, 'same scene' means 'same event'

In the typical service only those who had come before God with confession and repentance, and whose sins, through the blood of the sin offering, were transferred to the sanctuary, had a part in the service of the Day of Atonement. So in the great day of final atonement and investigative judgment the only cases considered are those of the professed people of God. The judgment of the wicked is a distinct and separate work, and takes place at a later period. "Judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel?" 1 Peter 4:17.

More context.
According to Ellen White,
1. The scope of investigative judgement is limited to the 'professed people of God'
2. The judgement of the wicked happens later, probably alluding to 20:12

Let's for now 'agree' with IJ. Before somebody can be resurrected to life in Rev 20:4, their records must have been examined and they must have passed and are deemed fit to reign with Christ. So there is no way the IJ of the 'professed people of God' extends past their resurrection, past Rev 20:4.

Nowhere in Revelation do we have books examined right up to 20:4 the resurrection of the righteous. And there is no symbol/allegory remotely resembling IJ between Rev 1:1 and Rev 20:4.

The only time 'books were opened' in Rev is in 20:12. This is 1,000 years AFTER the resurrection of the saints in 20:4 and iris a judgement of the wicked not the 'professed people of God'.

The Adventist (Pope White) desperate to relate Daniel's books opened with Revelation had nowhere to perch like Noah's dove. So she equates her pre-advent judgement of the 'professed people of God' with the post-advent 'judgement of the wicked'.

The problem as we have pointed out, and something she readily admits is that the judgement of the wicked happens much later. #EpicConfusion

When the work of the investigative judgment closes, the destiny of all will have been decided for life or death. Probation is ended a short time before the appearing of the Lord in the clouds of heaven.

I think two things are quite clear according to EGW;
1.Investigative Judgement ends BEFORE Christ's return
2. Investigative Judgement ends or at least is active in Revelation 20:12
