"Oh please hire me for this job.Rolleyes If it costs billions of dollars to remodel bathrooms to unisex, then America is stupid.
Slap a sign outside that says unisex and call it a day. Stalls for everyone."
While I can agree that stalls for all could be a solution, I don't think you've thought out the above comment fully. How many urinals are there in public places across the country - Walmarts and such, restaurants, stadiums, etc, etc. There are probably millions. Given the need for totally different plumbing, I doubt a urinal-to-stall renovation could be done for under a thousand dollars. Also, since even "non-accessible" stalls are wider than urinals, there would be some loss of capacity that might lead to additional brand new restrooms. In this day and age, everything seems to cost more than expected, especially in construction/renovation, so complete conversion is indeed apt to run to a ten-figure total.. Whether it's wise to spend money for this purpose is a different question entirely.
In the place with urinals and stalls, take the urinals out. Plumb it for extra stalls if you wish.
Portraying this as only an issue for the Right kind of ignores the fact that the change is being promulgated by the Left. And while I agree that too few from either side of the aisle are strong in presenting the Gospel, I'm confident that a greater proportion of conservatives than liberals are diligent about spreading the Gospel seed.
From what I've seen, it's the folks who fancy themselves conservatives who are as mean and ornery as a sidewinding rattlesnake. They (some, not all) consistently portray themselves as caring more about this world than they do about peoples' eternity.
ANd it's the right who keeps talking about this as though the bathroom is gonna become grand central for molestation and indecency.
Folks just want to use the bathroom. Unisex stalls for everyone. Problem solved and it doesn't become another stumbling block between Christians and the folks they need to reach for Christ.
