"Oh please hire me for this job.Rolleyes If it costs billions of dollars to remodel bathrooms to unisex, then America is stupid.

Slap a sign outside that says unisex and call it a day. Stalls for everyone."

While I can agree that stalls for all could be a solution, I don't think you've thought out the above comment fully. How many urinals are there in public places across the country - Walmarts and such, restaurants, stadiums, etc, etc. There are probably millions. Given the need for totally different plumbing, I doubt a urinal-to-stall renovation could be done for under a thousand dollars. Also, since even "non-accessible" stalls are wider than urinals, there would be some loss of capacity that might lead to additional brand new restrooms. In this day and age, everything seems to cost more than expected, especially in construction/renovation, so complete conversion is indeed apt to run to a ten-figure total.. Whether it's wise to spend money for this purpose is a different question entirely.

In the place with urinals and stalls, take the urinals out. Plumb it for extra stalls if you wish.

Portraying this as only an issue for the Right kind of ignores the fact that the change is being promulgated by the Left. And while I agree that too few from either side of the aisle are strong in presenting the Gospel, I'm confident that a greater proportion of conservatives than liberals are diligent about spreading the Gospel seed.

From what I've seen, it's the folks who fancy themselves conservatives who are as mean and ornery as a sidewinding rattlesnake. They (some, not all) consistently portray themselves as caring more about this world than they do about peoples' eternity.

ANd it's the right who keeps talking about this as though the bathroom is gonna become grand central for molestation and indecency.

Folks just want to use the bathroom. Unisex stalls for everyone. Problem solved and it doesn't become another stumbling block between Christians and the folks they need to reach for Christ.

Oh pish posh. That's the same line folks tried back during the 50s and 60s when they didn't want Blacks at the same lunch counters.
That doesn't change the validity of the argument. If I don't want to serve black people, why should the state force me to do so?

Perhaps Christians would fare better to start siding with empathy and loving thy neighbor as thyself FIRST rather than siding with freedom.
And so you see the evil in black slaves taking up arms against their owners during the Civil War.

This one isn't an issue except for those of you who have got too much time on your hands and need to convince the public that grandma is about to get pushed over a cliff.

History and the fact that this is just a stupid subject upon which to be trying to stake some sort of moral high ground. It's a bathroom for goodness sake. Make them unisex and it's a non-issue. Guys and girls have been going to the bathroom next to each other for a long time.

.

What if your curious 8 year old walks in on you and your wife having butt naked sex on your bed?O O What if she see's daddy coming out the shower?

Tell your daughter to go to the bathroom to use the bathroom and to stop spying through cracks into other stalls. That's RUDE.

Nope. It's a bathroom. Most civilized people understand bathroom etiquette enough that they aren't gonna go spying in between cracks in the stalls.

Obviously it does matter how someone identifies or else we wouldn't be talking about it. Unisex bathrooms and all is well.

Oh please hire me for this job.Rolleyes If it costs billions of dollars to remodel bathrooms to unisex, then America is stupid.

Tongue in cheek for sure.

Again, please hire me. Why is it gonna cost billions of dollars to put up a sign that says unisex?

Part of the government's job is to see that folks aren't discriminated against. Making the bathrooms unisex alleviates the issue.

Sure it is...if you're using interstate commerce in your business, it's very much the government's job to make sure that you are discriminating against protected classes.

The government has deemed that it won't do it, so if you want to do business , the commerce clause says you must concur.
I don't even know where to begin.
A sign?

Because your restaurant is public not private and they are part of the public.

Because the state submits to federal law.

And so you see the evil in black slaves taking up arms against their owners during the Civil War.

Nope. Of course I wouldn't have seen any problem with the enslaved Israelites taking up arms against Pharaoh either.

As soon as I limit the invitation to a specific clientele, it is not a public place.

If anyone can walk in the door, it is a public place. Even our yacht club, where you must be a member or come with a member is considered a public place.

The solution is to keep the politics out of the private sector. Target, Wal-Mart, Dollar General, etc. are all on private property. They want men's and women's rooms? Great. If not, then they get the clientele they deserve. Why isn't anyone speaking of freedom here? You think Obama cares about "transgenders"?
Yes I think Obama cares about the same sex issue. Seems to me he started his hissy fit against Putin over that back in Sochi..no?
