You mean the missionaries?

No the missionaries are the ones who use the puppets. Oh the shame!!!!!

The couple who went dancing was the youth pastor who finally succumbed to evils of CCM. Dancing is the next logical step you know...

If you start a topic called " Pros/Cons of OSAS"
many will come and argue through
"#12 Pros/Cons of OSAS".
(OSAS = Once Saved, Always Saved
/also known as {AKA} Security of Salvation/ )

But if you start a topic: "The good works you
should do now that you are saved" -
you will be writing a monologue :D

IS that real fermented wine? Or the welches variety?
Or should we have a discussion as to what it actually is?

No discussion.....let's just stomp 'em!

Don't we just repent after doing the above? If you were saved before you drink to the angry beaver will you still be saved after? I'm confused... :BangHead: :BangHead:

How about beer drinking, cigarette smoking, obese, angry beavers goin to a casino (that is playing CCM) , while the women are arguing over what is proper to wear.... bikinis or pants..

Meanwhile back in the other part of town, others are watching them and wonder if they were predestinated to walk into the casino... but then someone came along and said they must not be of the elect because they are not carrying a 1611 KJV... but a 1769 KJV...

But then they saw another one come out of a movie of Harry Potter, playing their Nintendo DS... and they just shook their heads and asked.... "What happened to the old paths?"

Did I mention they were SBC, and talking in tongues...

John -- That was a reference to this thread . . .

hoping to make our very own Angry Beaver chuckle in the remembering -- which it did
Hoo, boy. Thanks for the enlightenment.

I was thinking "Angry Beaver" was some new American reality TV show, but I've got him figured out now. And I KNOW THAT MISSIONARY!!

(Roger, my lips are shut about "Go Fish" if you don't tell the board I want to get my ears pierced.... )

I will admit to having brought up GLUTTONY in the past, not OBESITY. There can be a difference and they can be unrelated, although they're usually not. It's amazing how many people can be down on certain harmful vices, yet they're killing themselves with a fork, even at church, in the name of "fellowship".

Now John, my oldest boy was rather straight laced. They younger however inherited his mama's rebellious streak and did indeed like to buck the system. So he bleached his hair to the point of it falling out AND pierced his ears. BUT since he went to a Christian school those sweet little earrings were not allowed. He had to take them out at the door. One of his friends parents was really giving him a hard time about the earrings and the rebellion they represented and he replied, but my mom had to sign the papers, so if she approved, how rebellious can it be? I'm sure he was polite because he knew I'd have knocked him to kingdom come if he wasn't ;)

Now he's as straight laced as they come :godisgood:

Seriously folks....
about 12 yrs ago at our home church, we were having a baptism in our local river...

When we got there about 12:30 Sunday afternoon, there was a group there swimming...

They graciously moved down river a little bit, so we could have the baptism.

After the Baptism a woman in a bikini came up and asked the pastor if he would baptise her right there....

I don't remember his response, but he didn't.

Well, now that you mention it, I don't remember anything in our board's "Principles and Policies" about earings on men, so maybe I could get away with it. Of course, that document was written back in the 1960's when men just didn't wear them things!

Hmm. Naw, the wife would object! :saint:

P. S. Good job as a Mom!
