Practice biblical separation or not?

I would want to know if he has changed his stance on this. Being 35 years ago, it might not reflect his current thinking. Heaven knows, I've changed my thinking since back then!

If he has not, I'd walk away from him. That's just absolutely ridiculous. If God is chastening His child, no amount of anything from the doctors could heal. But there are times that, because of our sinful and fallen world, things break down and don't work as they should and we need help. My 24 year old daughter would be dead right now had we not sought treatment for her pancreatic tumor. Was that God's desire? If it was, she'd be dead despite the doctors.
It took me awhile but here is what I could find out for you.
This was an odd incident that took place that needed to be looked into albeit unrelated to the question you asked:
In October 2010, The New Zealand Herald reported that elderly people received "appointment cards" by Comfort's California-based publishing company, Living Waters, asking them to fill out information regarding the date and time of their deaths, and advising them to contact evangelists in order to avoid hell. Recipients of these cards expressed anger and horror over receiving them, and contacted police over the matter, with one of them commenting, "It's disgusting. It was quite spooky. I just couldn't comprehend why anyone would ask you to predict the date of your death." The New Zealand Herald summarized a statement from Living Waters spokesperson Lisa Law as saying that "the cards were a way of raising awareness of human mortality in order to spark discussion about Jesus", and that Law "did not know who sent [the tracts]".[16]

More to the point, on his own website he has an article called: "Doctor Luke's Cure."
America is deathly sick. The nightly network TV news has become a parade for competing drug companies. Both in news content and advertising we are informed of new drugs that will help in the fight against an onslaught of diseases from breast, to ovarian, to prostate cancer, to heart disease. The problem is that most of these new breakthroughs tend to have side effects that sound as bad as the disease.

Add to this news items telling us of invading killer bees, killer mosquitoes, child killers, killer tornados, kids who kill kids, kids who kill parents, unprecedented droughts, out-of-control fires, horrific murder suicides, corporate fraud, massive lay offs, and falling stocks, and much, much more, and it is no exaggeration to say that America is sick, from sea to shining sea.

Those who know their Bibles suspect that there's more here than meets the eye. It's not just a case of bad global warming. They have studied the promised repercussions for the nation of Israel if they didn't abide by certain God-given principles.

These were parallels I noticed right through the 1990's. Almost everything lined up--everything that is except an invasion by enemies. Deuteronomy warned of that...

The conscience of our nation failed to do its duty. In recent years the Church as a whole has been deathly silent when it comes to having a clear evangelistic voice. According to Bill Bright, the founder of Campus Crusade for Christ, only 2% of Christians actively share their faith.

The Gospel of Luke diagnoses the nation's disease and thankfully gives us the certain cure. Luke 10:2 tells us what it is. There is a lack of laborers--laborers who have been raised up by God.

That is all I could find of his current writings on the web. He certainly downplays the necessity of medicine and rather blames a lack of revival for the problems of our society.

If you go to one of his websites where his books, and others that he recommends are sold, you can see who he recommends. It is a horrible list, and seeing that it would not surprise me if he still held to those former beliefs. For example:
Kenneth E. Hagin was born on Aug. 20, 1917, in McKinney, Texas. Kenneth Hagin was sickly as a child, suffering from a deformed heart and an incurable blood disease. He was not expected to live and became bedfast at age 15. In April 1933 during a dramatic conversion experience, he reported dying three times in 10 minutes, each time seeing the horrors of hell and then returning to life.

In August 1934, Kenneth Hagin was miraculously healed, raised off a deathbed by the power of God and the revelation of faith in God’s Word. Jesus appeared to Kenneth Hagin eight times over the next several years in visions that changed the course of his ministry. In 1967, he began a regular radio broadcast that continues today as Rhema for Today.

In 1968, Kenneth Hagin published the first issues of The Word of Faith magazine, which now has a monthly circulation of more than 300,000. The publishing outreach he founded, Faith Library Publications, has circulated worldwide more than 65 million copies of books by Rev. Hagin, Rev. Kenneth W. Hagin, and several other authors. Faith Library Publications also has produced more than 9 million audio teaching CDs as a result of the ministry of Kenneth Hagin.

At this site many such books are sold by him.

A charismatic church has invited me to help do some work in DT Denver. They are big on Way of the Master which is good, however they have other problems. I wonder if I should reject to work with them. But then again regardless of their views of music ( Rock N Roll concert), their seeker friendly nonsense, and their views on the gifts) the people love the lord and seek to serve him in all that they do. Maybe I should join them but don't tell the leadership at the baptist church.

Do they hold to the modern prophets/apostles. additional revealtions for today, and wof though?

You are saying that the Way of the Master trumps all other considerations. If there is a checkmark next to WotM then anything else can be overlooked.

Contemporary Christian Music? Don't care.
Speaking in tongues? Don't care.
Healing services? Don't care.
Seeker friendly? Don't care.
Evangelize with another church behind the backs of the people at the church I have membership? Don't care.

Is Way of the Master a cult for you?

I'm not going to answer the question in the thread title because everyone on this board knows you will be witnessing with this charismatic church no matter what we say.

He did not say nor imply any of that. What is wrong with you?

Read the OP. He mentions "separation" and then lists things the charismatics do that he doesn't agree with--their music, their seeker friendly nonsense, their views on the gifts (read: tongues and healing). Then he says he might go out witnessing with them and not tell his home church. It's all right there in the OP. What's wrong with you?

So do you object to their:

1. Modern worship music
2. Use of speaking in tongues and healing.
3. Seeker sensitive outreach techniques

As someone who is currently mentoring 5 Pentecostal Pastors, I would remind you that they "say that they believe in sola fide"; however, they deny it in practice through:

1. Promulgating Speaking in Tongues as a requirement for salvation

2. Promulgating a Gospel which "requires" new believers to "do good works in order to stay saved"

3. Promulgating a list of Do's and Dont's ie, drinking alcohol, dress codes (some of them), and even confusing baptism at points

That's my Opinion.

Thankfully, a couple of the ones that I am working with are beginning to change their minds about a lot of things and I mean a lot of them
