Reince Preibus: "We thank you for the opportunity and THE BLESSING that you've given us to serve your agenda and the American people."

Mike Pence: [speaking of President Trump] "I've never met anyone who is a greater strategic thinker [regarding] the safety and security of the people of the United States of America, about how we accomplish that for this nation."
Remarks by President Trump and Vice President Pence at CIA Headquarters

Preibus: I’ve never seen anyone work harder and have more energy than this president.” [Trump is setting records for weekends away from the White House spent golfing.]
Priebus: Not Making Any Commitments on When Trump Will Undo DACA

So, being a blessing to someone indicates idolatry?

Are you actually saying that in your entire Christian life you have never been a blessing to anyone?

If so may I suggest the problem is yours, not President Trump's nor his chief of staff
Mike Pence: [speaking of President Trump] "I've never met anyone who is a greater strategic thinker [regarding] the safety and security of the people of the United States of America, about how we accomplish that for this nation."
The President is a strategic thinker. We already knew that. He managed to amass a fortune in excess of $10 billion dollars. You don't do that unless you think strategically.

Preibus: I’ve never seen anyone work harder and have more energy than this president.”
So the President works hard (and plays hard). So do I.

You have yet to post any quote from a Cabinet member indicating a cult of personality. Just more empty rhetoric.

My church member quite frequently give me praise for the work I do here at the church. Praising someone is not a cult of personality. Anyone who defines it as such is so blinded by hate and bitterness that they have become delusional. Let's be sober minded.

Ah, I'm hateful, bitter, and delusional. Awesome rejoinder.

I see you've pulled words out of context. Priebus said "it's a blessing to SERVE YOUR AGENDA." That's not far from "it's a blessing to serve you." That's fealty.

Are you actually saying that in your entire Christian life you have never been a blessing to anyone?

Non-sequitur.

The President is a strategic thinker. We already knew that. He managed to amass a fortune in excess of $10 billion dollars. You don't do that unless you think strategically.

Ahh...but the quote by Pence was that Trump was the best strategic thinker when it comes to US security that he's ever known. Quite different from being a strategic businessperson.

So the President works hard (and plays hard). So do I.

Reibus said Trump was the hardest working President he'd ever known. This was said on January 21, 2017. Trump had been President for one day.

Trying to have an intelligent discussion with you is a waste of time.

My pastor has an agenda. To know Him and make Him known.

It is a blessing to me to have some small part in serving him and his agenda.

And apparently you have never been a blessing to anyone, and that is terribly sad. It is a shame you can't see that.

Yes. Strategic thinking is a type of thinking which can be applied to several disciplines.

Yes, he worked hard prior to being elected and brought that strong work ethic to the Presidency.

Still not one word to support your false "cult of personality" accusation.

Ad-hominem noted. Really Tom, what's gotten into you the last couple of days? You're a roving insult machine.

It is a blessing to me to have some small part in serving him and his agenda.

You are equating working for the furtherance of the Kingdom of God with Trump's cabinet furthering his agenda. I hope you can see the irony in your statement in a thread about, "Praise-athon for Dear Leader" and the challenge to prove there is a cult of personality surrounding Trump.

And apparently you have never been a blessing to anyone, and that is terribly sad. It is a shame you can't see that.

Oh, I'm certain I have been a blessing to others. But that's not the subject matter of this thread. Nice attempt at deflection.

Yes. Strategic thinking is a type of thinking which can be applied to several disciplines.

Agreed. But Pence said Trump is "the most strategic thinker on US security threats that he's ever known." That goes to cult of personality.

Still not one word to support your false "cult of personality" accusation.

If you say so.

ITL, you are fighting a hopeless battle. There is no real way to reason with people who adopt the 'you are a hater' tactic. Eight years of watching Obama and his supporters have taught them well.

I guess so.

Kind of ironic that Revmitchell lectures others about employing faulty argument tactics like "appeal to authority" or "strawman" and then employs the ad hominem himself. I'm certain he knows he's doing it.

And he posted hundreds, probably thousands of negative posts about Obama and never acknowledged anything good about him ... like being a faithful husband and father.

Just hilarious. Revmitchell posts a thread asking for contributions. I supply them and I'm called hateful. You guys are a barrel of laughs. Talk about snowflakes!

Sent from my Motorola Droid Turbo.

Has nothing to do with today, more like ever since Trump secured the nomination. You have a long track record of displaying your personal animosity for Trump.

Own it. That's you.

Trump’s most ardent supporters are . . . remolding their own views to keep pace with their leader. . . This shows the extent to which Trump’s rise was not based on any particular positions or views. It was and remains a cult of personality. Trump’s followers worship him—and he worships himself, too. They are bound by a conviction, rooted in basically nothing but quasi-religious faith, that he is a singularly tough and savvy dealmaker who will protect American interests in a way that no previous president has done.

Pure baloney.

Or unmitigated garbage.

Take your pick.
