Preacher's Sermon On Nudity Question?

The human form is not sinful or dirty. Anyone who cannot recognize that other cultures have no sin for their own customs regarding what parts of the body are exposed; or that a nursing mother is not being sexual have got some issues.

Shiloh must learn that no matter how culturally different, the souls must be won first, then stroking the cat in the wrond direction will turn the cat around all by herself.
I agree with his stand against women preachers, but I don't know if mexdeaf is what? But I do see how a man can be more inline with God as to never notice the outward appearance while unctionized to aiming at the heart.
The women there think nothing of breast-feeding their babies in public without covering up. After I was done preaching, the veteran missionary who was interpreting for me asked me if I noticed the women breast-feeding, and I truthfully could say I had not. By Mex

I can see where he might apologize for his error in thinking he was a she, but he didn't direct the stupid remark at anyone imparticular.
I would have to say that I would have probably noticed the breastfeeding mothers, but by and through the grace of God I would not be tempted to lust.
I have just enough grace to see something uncovered that should be, but that same grace incites me to not look a second and third time as to lust.
If I were to compare that to smoking, I used to smoke. At first smell of a cigarette, I might be tempted, but that second smell almost makes me throw up, the same with nudity, if I think about it from the "new man" perspective.
Sanderson is probably right, and only the righteous have shame for such things, as in you cannot shame the unrighteous. Anything that causes shame is therefore sin, simply because it is ungodliness.
But if yall want to languish over something somebody said, g'head and waste your chance to redeem the time!
I think the topic needs further discussion without all the interest being directed at Shiloh and his , uh, mouth.

The Bible teaches that when one comes to Christ, that one is a new creature. Old things are passed away, and behold, all things are new.
I am reminded of the story of the naked man who was possessed by devils that lived amongst the tombs. When Jesus changed this man, the Bible teaches that the people of the town came to the cemetery and found him, clothed, and in his right mind. This man had a change of heart and a change of mind. He knew not to bare himself.
I would say that these women who were breastfeeding in public were not christian women, for if they were, the Holy Spirit would convict their hearts and not allow them to bare their breasts for anyone to see.
As to a preacher who is ministering when something like that happens, I find it hard to believe that it would not distract him from his sermon at least momentarily. For a woman to bare her breast would certainly cause others to be distracted. A pastor is no different.
A pastor must be attentive to the congregation. When they are disruptive, he needs to call them on it, when they begin to get fidgety, he needs to cut the sermon short. The mind can only take in as much as the seat can endure.
Preachers are in the fleshly body, and the flesh is weak. God does give grace, yes, but He also expencts that pastor or missionary to teach that which is going to rebuke, reprove, correct, instruct in righteousness.

I preach to many disruptive and hardly dressed teens. I sit them down, threaten them with a ride home and a talk with their guardians. I've been told to shut up, I've had to tell a young "robust" lady to stop dancing in her seat. I've also told them to pull up their lo cut tight-fitting shirts as to help them and us. I preach to them like a mad man, why I've even had som,e of the young men "cry" on one of the ladies' shoulder saying I was "mad at him"
Do I let any of that distract me? Sometimes, but as the one mounted and in charge, being all things are to be done decently and in order, I don't hesitate to dictate the order of the preaching time. Dictator? No! Preacher? YES!

Shiloh, you need to take a trip to a mission field and get your eyes opened to REALITY. In the meantime, here's the facts...
1. I am a man.
2. I did NOT notice the women breast-feeding.
3. The women were Christians, in their culture it is not considered wrong to bare the breast to feed the baby.
4. I am not the pastor of that church, so therefore it was not my place to set them straight about their offense to my American cultural standards of nudity.
5. And to top it off, after I preached and the message was interpreted into Spanish and then again into Huasteca, one lady accepted Christ! I don't even know if she was the one baring her breast.

A number of years ago I was preaching when a lady in our church had an epileptic "fit"(might not be the best terminology)but she was seated in the second row to the front. Her hands went straight up in the air and she began to wiggle feet first, to the platform. You can imagine where her dress was by that time. Did it effect me? What do you think? I could be like some of you more spiritual people on here and say one look and then I didn't look again because that would have been lust. NO brother....I SHUT THE SERVICE DOWN! I asked my wife to cover her and she and some of the other women took care of her. To say a preacher could preach when women are breast feeding their babies uncovered and not be bothered..........

I have no reason to doubt Mex.
I don't have a problem. I just was agreeing with the fact that you owe Mex an apology. And I believe you owe Scarlett one too.
But I know, I know you didn't do anything..
Fine, I am just a STUPID missionary serving God, seeing souls saved and lives changed; building a church for the deaf for the glory of God in Mexico.
Now I have better things to do than try to convince some high and mighty preacher that it is possible for someone to be filled with the Spirit in such a manner that they do not notice the nudity. Adios!

Shiloh, have you ever heard of calling on those to come to the aid of others in the service and just keep PREACHING!
We have ushers at our church and very godly ladies to handle just such an occasion.
Though it was before we joined, a man came walking into the sanctuary right in the middle of preaching with NOTHING on but his birthday suit. He was immediately approached by some men of the church and escorted out. And God forbid! the preacher just kept on PREACHING!
Gotta quick question, If you're preaching on the street, an officer apporaches you and tells you to stop. Would it be ok if some one with you addressed the officer and you kept on PREACHING until it became obvious you might go to jail?
Just asking, since you introduced another situation, but preaching should continue against the possible devil's interupting PREACHING!

1. If the woman breast feeding her baby openly was hidden from his view I can understand him not seeing her. However that is not how it was implied.
2. If the woman was sitting in plain view of the preacher with her breasts exposed and it didn't bother him or he didn't see her. He is (you lib's are not going to like this) either blind or ?
3. Me think's mex made a slip of the pen when he wrote the first time.
My wife and I have been married for 35 years. I have NEVER been unfaithful to her before we were married or after. She is my prized possession but if you ask her if a lady was breast feeding a baby in our church "uncovered" while I was preaching, what would she do?
