If given the opportunity, would you preach at a Pentecostal church?

no. and neither will I let them, or any other denomination, preach in mine. now, other orders of Baptists ?
well, maybe.
Yes, but I would preach the truth from God's word regarding the biblical fact that "tongues have ceased."
And that the real sign of the work of the Holy Spirit in the life of a Christian is "And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness."

Strange. They welcomed me. And even asked me to come back.If you went in with that attitude, you wouldn't be received. You'd lose your chance to reach people by turning them off immediately. You can't reach someone by bashing them over the head. I ask you to rethink your approach.
I told the pastor ahead of time exactly what I was going to preach: That tongues had ceased and that the evidence of the Holy Spirit in the life of a Christian was that he/she would speak the word of God with boldness. There are different ways of looking at this. As a Calvinist would I tell them to start with what I believe and see if they still wanted me to preach or if they didn't know just go preach and stur a big stink. Would I tone the message down and seek common ground to please men or be the servant of God and preach the truth. What do you think ?

The pastor said to go for it. He said if I could convince his congregation, from the bible, that tongues had ceased, then he would not stand in the way of the leading of God.
Some were convinced, and some were not. He invited me back for a second opportunity.
If you are sure of your doctrine, and convicted by the Holy Spirit of God, with scripture to back it up, you have no reason to fear any message or any preaching.
The only ones who fear such preaching are those who have a very weak grip on God's word.
