There're only two publishers that print the 1611 AV. Which edition did you buy? </font>[/QUOTE]Nelson's, several years ago, and Hendrickson's, recently. I haven't read the H's copy to see if it's exactly the same as the Nelson's yet.

Greyden publishes a true facsimile, but Nelson's is reset in Roman type, and the page layout and marginal notes are not authentic 1611 edition, as are Hendrickson's. [IMG]

The 'Nieuwe Vertaling' of 1951, the best studybible translation in the Dutch language.

For simple reading the 'Willibrord Vertaling'.

When Preaching I always use the KJV. It is useless to preach when nobody listens. In central West Virginia it is the one most use, And most will not listen to you if you don't use it.

I also like the NLT and NASB.

I do my morning devotions and our Family altar devotions at night with the NLT. I really got tired of explaining 17th century english to my 8 year old when he understands the NLT.

As a Youth Pastor, I carry a Parallel Bible with KJV, NIV, NLT, and NASB. That way most whatever version my youth group reads from, I've got them covered.
BTW I just ordered my youth group The Student Life App. Bible (NLT) from Bibles at Cost.

If anyone is looking for low-cost Bibles check out their website at www.biblesatcost.com

I use the KJV along with the ESV, NASBU95, NKJV, NIV, NLT, and last but not least, William Tyndale's 1534 NT in modern spelling.
