I have thought when I logged in on this Forum that the warm glow that emanated from the screen was the love of Jesus Christ flowing through all those on the Forum. Now I wonder if I don't have a faulty monitor. Perhaps the warm glow is simply over exposure to radiation.

Not really. You are just not dealing in facts. You realize of course that the web is not the inerrant Scripture.

It's probably from my newly redesigned foil hat.

Rev. Moon “funnels” $250,000 for Bush inaugural bash

Sorry, I can't vote in your poll, Old Reg.

</font>
So the second messiah supports Bush! Wonder how much he gave his soul mates, the Clintons.

From what I've read, the Moonies hate the Clintons.

2004:

Controversial Korean evangelist and self-declared messiah Sun Myung Moon received a "Crown of Peace" at a March 23 ceremony that took place at the Dirksen Senate Office Building in Washington, D.C., and was promoted by members of Congress.
Moon's group was able to get access to the Senate building thanks to an influential friend: U.S. Sen. Mark Dayton (D-Minn.), who attended the event. Also attending were six members of the House of Representatives: Reps. Roscoc G. Bartlett (R-Md.), Christopher B. Cannon (R-Utah), Curt Weldon (R-Pa.), Danny K. Davis (D-IlL), Harold E. Ford (D-Tenn.) and Sanford D. Bishop Jr. (D-Ga.).

The House members were listed as "Congressional Co-Chairs" of the event on invitations. "Invitational Committee" members included U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), former U.S. Sen. Larry Pressler (R-S.D.), U.S. Rep. Phillip M. Crane (R-IlL), U.S. Rep. Thomas M. Davis (R-Va.) and U.S. Rep. Eddie B. Johnson (D-Texas).

During his remarks at the Senate ceremony, Moon claimed that dead world leaders have endorsed him from the "spirit world."

&lt;snip&gt;

Moon also said, "Father is giving direction to Jesus. Do you think Jesus is coming again from the clouds?... The fulfillment of the Coronation on Capitol Hill reversed the fortunes of the Jesus course on the cross. I'm very logical and reasonable as a person.... You don't know how serious the coronation was in history. If that didn't happen, then there was a possibility that an atomic bomb would have been dropped on the Gaza Strip."
Link is at Find Articles.com (editing previous link because of some of Rev. Moon's "graphic quotes.")

OR, I used to be a blind Republican with party loyalty to the GOP no matter what. It was a painful journey for me to start seeking & finding truth (in politics); I started the journey shortly after 09/11 when things didn't "gel" in my mind and I wondered "why?"

Old Reg, I do want to comment that I appreciate how you are willing to listen to the other side without making personal attacks. You are a true gentleman.

3 Votes for not caring what the scripture says.

I must say I'm surprised.
There shouldn't be even one on a Christian forum.

Now we know for certain there are some people here who actually hate Bush despite their protestations to the contrary.

Wow, did a Christian say this? I guess it's his way of showing a "Christlike" attitude.

Yea, I mean people just go off and start ranting and raving about people and their attitude... When will some people learn...

Botwinick and Rocko9 are both from Arkansas! Enough said!
Another fine example of how we treat each other as good Christian folks.. I am glad for one to have this shining example of love, honor, and respect.

1. My righteousness comes from Christ alone. There is nothing righteous about me save for the grace of God.

2. Isn't it interesting how you ended up being more self righteous than us judgmental pharisees? I am thinking that you are a bit too proud of your non-judgmental humility.

For those Bush Haters
I am not a Bush hater. I voted for him twice and am proud of both votes. All in all, I think he is a great president. He has very bad theology, however, which is heretical. Not everyone worships the same God, as he has stated many times as president. This is why he is a secualr leader and not a pastor.

who claim to be Christians
Are you calling our salvation into question because we point out the obvious fact that Bush, Spong and Carter are heretics? You know it is against the board's rules to question board member's salvation? Personally, I don't like the rule, but rules are rules.

I repeat the words of the Apostle Paul: Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; [Romans 12:10]. I see little evidence of that brotherly love on this Forum.
The verse has absolutley nothing to do with this thread or politics. BTW, what is your opinion of John Shelby Spong, who claims to be a Christian while attacking the inerrancy of Scripture? Is he a heretic?

For those of you who think Bush a heretic, Botwinick and Lady Eagle, I would say examine your own faith.
I will. Thanks for the advice. BTW, were you just being a judgemental pharisee?

Botwinick and Rocko9 are both from Arkansas! Enough said!
Now, there is true Christian love for you.

Matthew 7[15] Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
[16] Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
[17] Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
[18] A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
[19] Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
[20] Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
[21] Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
[22] Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
[23] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
</font>
Nothing in the above passage of Scripture you posted shows that George Bush is a heretic. Please show me which of the above are directly applicable to George Bush and then provide proof that you are guilt free.

8Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them: "Rulers and elders of the people! 9If we are being called to account today for an act of kindness shown to a cripple and are asked how he was healed, 10then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. 11He is
" 'the stone you builders rejected,
which has become the capstone.[a]' 12Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."
Acts 4:8-12

The Bible tells us that there is one God, one Christ, one Lord, one name by which we can be saved.

"Mr. President, when you talk about peace in the Middle East, you've often said that freedom is granted by the Almighty," the reporter asked. "Some people who share your beliefs don't believe that Muslims worship the same Almighty. I wonder about your views on that and Mr. Prime Minister's, as a man also of faith, I'd like to get your reaction to that."
I do say that freedom is the Almighty's gift to every person," Bush answered. "I also condition it by saying freedom is not America's gift to the world. It's much greater than that, of course. And I believe we worship the same God."
Baptist Press News

Bush directly contradicts Scripture by claiming that the god of the Muslims is the same God as that of the Christians. This is heresy. I am quite sure this has been pointed out to him. He is not ignorant of the truth. He simply speaks in open rebellion to the teachings of Scripture. He is, therefore, a heretic.

How could you and I disagree so vehemently? How can two believers, given roughly the same information, see things so differently?

A question: Who is the God of the Muslims, who is the God of all the earth? Let Scripture speak:

Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:

Deuteronomy 4:39 Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the LORD he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.

2 Chronicles 20:6 And said, O LORD God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee?

It is true that the Muslims, the Jews, and all those who are not Christians falsely attempt to worship God. That does not alter the fact that there is One God and He is God of all the universe.
