I was asking those who believe where it says in rev.20...where it says the 1000yrs, will be literal,and on the earth? Rev. 20 speaks of saints reigning

Do you consider in Luke 19 as Jesus having already gone to the far country, I take to be heaven, received the kingdom, having received the kingdom, returned and called his servants and rewarded them with rule ship over ??? something?

When did that take place? What are they ruling over?

Acts 15:14 Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.

Are those people God took out of the Gentiles as a people for his name a part of his servants of Luke 19? Are those out of the Gentiles equal the, us, of Acts 15:8 and were the 12 apostles inclusive in the, us, of Acts 15:8?

Are they presently ruling with Jesus?

Acts 15:16 I will return. Returned where? Return when? Build again the tabernacle of David. Does the tabernacle of David have anything to do with the rule of David and or the seed of his loins? ---- Why rebuild?
V 17 answers That the residue of men might seek, the Lord and all the nations, ( With Rulers) upon whom My name hath been called,

Is that when the us and the gentiles will rule with Christ?

Jesus was teaching in a parable. Will we all be rulers in the ultimate Kingdom - the NH&NE? Good question - how did Jesus himself answer it?

I still have questions, but there is no reason to say that a future millennial type kingdom is needed.

See also in the Olivet prophecy, where after the coming of Jesus for the destruction in AD 70, Jesus speaks of further indefinite period where Christians are called to faithfulness, to watch & pray, knowing the certainty of his final coming, without specific signs.

Peter writes - "1 Peter 5:2 be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them – not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; 3 not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock."

Scripture teaches that all believers, including the Apostles are one body.

Amos prophesied before the exile of Israel & Judah. The kings of David's line ended with the exile. The OT prophecies of David are prophecies of Christ. The line of David refers to Jesus, & by his incarnation Christ was born into the family of David, & by his ascension he assumed David's prophesied eternal throne. The prophecy is used in Acts 15 to show that God's purpose was to welcome the Gentiles into his Kingdom, as prophesied to Abraham in Genesis 12:3.

Our status is presently "a kingdom of priests & a holy nation." Exo. 19:6, 1 Peter 2:9, Rev. 1:4-6

Note Rev. 20. John sees the SOULS of the martyrs, not a bodily resurrection.
6 Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.

Is the "great tribulation" a prophesied period in the future before Jesus' final return for resurrection & judgment? There are 3 specific references to "great tribulation" as distinct from the general warnings that Christians will suffer tribulation at the hands of the ungodly, & that sinners will suffer tribulation as a judgment from God. Mat. 24:21 Rev. 2:22 & Rev. 7:14

Mat. 24:21 refers to the time of the AD 70 destruction, & takes place before the passing of "this generation" so is a matter of recorded history.

Actually, no, the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70 was far from being the "great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be." There are so many historical events I could name (the A bombs!), but I'll stick with those relating to the Jewish nation.

Are you aware of the Bar Kochba revolt in AD 132-136? More Jews were killed than in AD 70, Jerusalem was further destroyed, and the Jews were driven out of their homeland and forbidden to return.

Again, surely you don't consider AD 70 to be worse than the 6 million Jews killed by the Nazis in WW2, do you?

Mat 24:21 “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 “And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened

Is that great tribulation greater in kind or greater in severity. The AD 70 tribulation was unique in that it was the final judgment on those who rejected the Messiah & clung to the Old Covenant. They trusted in the temple as did the people in Jeremiah 7. Jesus quoted 7:11 against them when he cleansed the temple a second time; he tore the veil from top to bottom, to sow the OC was FINISHED. But they repaired & resumed now useless sacrifices.

I don't believe a just God has continued punishment of the descendants of Abraham for 60 generations, when he declared his punishment would be limited to 3-4 generations - AD 70. Deut. 5:9 The Gospel has been fully open to the Jews & those claiming to be Jewish from Pentecost onwards. As a nation, Israel ended in AD 70, having been given 40 years to repent. What happened after that was tribulation by nations, not an expression of the wrath of God.

It is a great disgrace for those calling themselves Christians to show such hatred against needy sinners.
