Okay, you won on technicality.

Revmitchell said:Not trying to win. Just answering the question.
Bible-boy said:There is not a dime's worth of differnece between the President elect Obama's political positions, political philosophies, and political ideas and those of Mrs. Clinton. So the proposed Secretary of State is also a Socialist. That one. Same goes for VP select Biden his name appears on the Obama website right next to Obama's under their proposed plans for the government. That's two.
JustChristian said:Why don't you just extend that to every Democrat in the United States and save us some time?
Bible-boy said:I suppose you would like it if I did because then you'd be able to cry that I had made a personal attack against you as a Democrat. However, I have never attempted make that argument. Why haven't I? Because that would not be a fair assessment. However, it is a fair assessment of the stated political positions, political philosophies, and political ideas of Mrs. Clinton and President-elect Obama.
Now given the fact that this thread has reached 11 pages and no one has been able to give any creditable evidence that suggests that President-elect Obama is not a Socialist (as opposed to the pages of evidence that he is a Socialist) I'd say that it should be completely acceptable for us to refer to him as such.

JustChristian said:Would you "cry" if I called you a Fascist?
Bible-boy said:I have referred to Obama as a Socialist and I have provided ample evidence with sources and links to back up that claim.
KenH said:And you can refer to me as a socialist since I approve of programs such as Social Security and Medicare.
KenH said:Anyone who approves of programs or receives money from programs such as Social Security or Medicare is a socialist.
Bible-boy said:However, that assessment is open to debate.
Revmitchell said:If Obama is not a communist then tell us how many of these positions does he oppose?
KenH said:Not really. It is undeniable that programs such as Social Security and Medicare are socialistic in nature.
KenH said:Fine, then, Pastor Mitchell. I admit that Barack is a communist and so am I.
Are you happy now?

KenH said:I don't recall objecting to calling Barack a socialist. I objected to calling Barack a Communist or a Marxist. Those terms are not the same as socialist as we use the term politically in the United States.
However, if you want to call me a Communist or a Marxist to satisfy some name-calling fetish, go ahead, make my day.
