President George W. Bush joins Cowboys 9/11 ceremony; no Dallas players protest anthem

The Cowboys took part Sunday in marking the 15th anniversary of Sept. 11. Former President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush participated in the pregame coin toss. Special video tributes aired in remembrance.

A massive American flag, stretching from end zone to end zone, was unfurled for the national anthem. Cowboys players helped first responders wave the flag during "The Star Spangled Banner."
There were no visible protests from the Cowboys or New York Giants players.

George and Laura Bush Get Standing Ovation During Dallas Cowboys 9/11 Observance

President and Mrs. George W. Bush received a heartwarming standing ovation amid shouts of “U.S.A., U.S.A.” as they walked onto the field flanked by a pair of 9/11 first responders during Sunday’s NFL game in Dallas, even as other NFL games became platforms for anti-American protests.
When the former president and his first lady walked onto the field, they were accompanied by two NYPD officers, who were on hand to assist the victims of the terror attacks that shocked the world.

"May God bless all who mourn, and may He continue to bless and watch over our great land." President George W. Bush
