President Obama delivers eulogy for John Lewis

This is amazing. President Obama is talking about why we must have mail in ballots. It is strange that everything is a political tool.

Anyway, I forgot just how good a speaker President Obama is.

He could probably have talked about Corn Pop without looking crazy.

Never thought Obama was a good speaker. We haven’t had a president who could consistently give a good speech since Reagan. JFK was the best speaker prior to Reagan.

While in office, Obama relied heavily on the teleprompter. I wonder if he had one for the eulogy.

No teleprompter but consistently looked at his notes. Well Rehearsed performance.

I liked Reagan (too young for JFK).

Obama is a sleazeball for using a funeral service to attack a political rival.

He has no class at all.

I was a little lad when JFK was president. Watching archived speeches, the man could deliver. Never sounded like a cliché.

I missed that. I usually prefer listening to speeches firsthand before commentary. I saw a headline somewhat that he spoke of "Jim Crow era relic". I need context on that.

That said, President Obama will forever be light-years ahead of Trump in almost everything, and especially public speaking

Yeah, light years ahead of Trump for dragging us into a socialist utopia, which only exist in delusional leftist brains. Oh wait, Trump is trying to save us from that. Obama stutters & stumbles when he is off prompter, he would never in a million years, have been able to pull off Trump’s rally mode, talking to the people for a couple of hours, or the daily rona pressers. People like you refuse to see the raw abilities of Trump to handle a situation, but handle it he does. Someday we may know more truth about the Obama’s, but they are still useful to the left, so we’ll just have to wait.

I do think he is a good speaker, and he was a good choice for the DNC.

But I think his presidency was horrible (I oppose the DNC platform).

I do not know about Trump. Watching the Barr hearing the Democrats came off as very dishonest and manipulative. So there is a question of accuracy in information. But I do agree with the GOP platform..

I just do not trust either side. I view the DNC as evil while I do not see the GOP that way.

Oh yeah, those hearings with Barr were loopy. Kept asking him all those loaded, vicious question, then when Barr tried to reply. some crazy Democrat would scream: "I AM RECLAIMING MY TIME!!!".

Read Barack Obama’s Eulogy for John Lewis

that's what Obama said and I don't think he was on the teleprompter, there wasn't one in sight. I've long thought his oratory skills were way overrated, he does have the sonorous voice going for him and he is an excellent spy.

There, I said something nice about him. Wait, that only applies to John Lewis right now, so he rocked Selma back in the day. Those things Obama said when he politicized John's funeral were great when he wasn't trying to claim the filibuster was Jim Crow (a Democrat), the GOP wasn't just like George Wallace (a Democrat), and, by the way, where were THEIR masks?

I feel like we need at least another eight years of Trump in the WH to reclaim our time after the abomination that was and is Obama. :Wink The real problem is that Obama is far from through, and the Dems are worse than ever.

Democrats know all about "Jim Crow", but Obama's reference to it as the current Senate filibuster rule being a "Jim Crow" like situation is way out of line. The rule gives both parties when in the minority some power to stop unwise and just plain bad legislation from becoming law. Obama like his leftist friends just wants to tear our whole governmental system asunder.

While I support President Trump, another 4 years would be enough. I do not want any person being the President for more than 2 terms, at some point they need to leave and give the rest of us a break.

Yes, I didn't mean it literally of course. The damage Obama and the Dems did was so bad, I haven’t the faith to believe it could ever be undone anyway. And all of them are still spending us into an oblivion of debt.

I foresee no break, at least not in this world. But, hey, if I think about what my grandparents went through—Spanish Flu, Prohibition, Great Depression, New Deal, both World Wars—maybe this is a kind of break.
