Presidents Gone Wild — with Executive Orders

“Presidential power has been increasing for decades. We’ve reached the point where presidents can go to war, appropriate funds, impose revenue measures, and far more, all without congressional approval. President Trump is pushing the boundaries of presidential authority even further. Sadly, though, Democratic complaints seem to boil down to Trump using that power for policies that the Democrats disagree with. They are all too happy to grab that power for their own purposes.

Unfortunately, this “might makes right” approach to governing is unlikely to end well.”

Congress is to blame for not wanting to do anything but get rich. Trump had to undo all of Obama's junk orders and then Trump had to issue his own orders so that ran the count up although National Review is unlikely to understand the arithmetic of this fifth-grade concept since the National Review probably does not know that 2 + 2 = 4. There is a limit to what can be done by executive order and some of the things are very trivial and others are just temporary. National Review doesn't amount to a hill of beans anymore. David French infected them with NeverTrump and now all but Victor Davis Hanson and Katherine Timpf sing that tune 24/7.
