Pro-Life Democrat Predicts Senate Health Care Bill Will ‘Go Down in Flames’ in House,

The Senate health care bill is dead on arrival in the House of Representatives unless major changes are made, including removal of special “carve outs” for Medicaid funding for certain states and inclusion of language barring taxpayer-funded health plans that cover abortions, Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mich.) told CNSNews.com on Tuesday.

The only way to be absolutely sure this thing bombs in the house is to find that proverbial fat lady and hide her so she CAN'T sing!!

The senate version just verifies that the dems all have their price, and whether that price is too high remains to be seen, tho' doubtful.

After all, the main thing is to get the bill passed (in whatever form available) and the libs will tweak it later to achieve the end result of total health control of the country!

The Rs don't have the brass appendages to repeal it, should they retake the house & senate in '10, so any version that is passed will be safe till the Ds can get back to mutaliting our country after some future election.

'Course this is assuming that we will have the '10 elections---.

Probably many opportunities to declare martial law tween now and then; one or two may even be legitimate!!??

I couldn't disagree more.

The socialists have proven that they will do whatever it takes to pass this government takeover of our rights, money, and liberties.

Congress has proven that prostitution is alive and well. They have "principles" until the john proposes the acceptable price.

My unprofessional opinion? I give passage of this god-forsaken piece of garbage about a 95% chance.

RevMitchell, I hope you're right. I really do. But I don't think this can (or will) be stopped.

Remember...because of gerrymandering, there is absolutely no chance of at least a third (and maybe even a half) of these idiots being voted out. You really think people in Detroit, or Atlanta, or Los Angeles, are going to vote out a congressman that gives them free stuff from Obama's toy box? They'd vote Satan in, as long as he promised free housing, cell phones, health care, internet, and cable TV.

I didn't write the article.

Sorry, not what I meant.

What I'm saying is that, based on statements you've made in the past, you are somewhat more optimistic at this bill's failure than I am. Admittedly, I've gotten more pessimistic in the last 2-3 months.

And if that is still true (that you have more optimism for the bill's failure than I do)...then I hope you're right and I'm wrong.

Well, God confounded many invading armies that were determined to destroy Israel, so I'm sure He can confound and cause the D congress to self-destruct if He so chooses - which I hope for!!

For Him to do that tho', IMHO, would be because He is choosing to show mercy to this nation; which He certainly has no reason to do, but I also hope for.
