Pro President Thread

I think the 'faint praise' is in reference to LE's posts. They infer that she can find nothing nice to say about him other than he likes Mexican food and thinks he has a cute dog.

IMHO, that is not praise, but making fun of the President, and it does not lend credence to the sincerity of this thread.

 

Thank you. The Moderators are out of control here. They are both non-Bush voters by their own admission and they have both been very critical of the President. They will not allow his supporters to either be silent or to defend him on their own terms. This thread should not have been started by a Bush critic and it is a disgrace.

 

And a 'request', by the OP, is usually followed out of respect for his wishes.

President Bush is a Godly man. I voted for him twice and wish I could vote for him again.

It's difficult to read exactly what's in another man's heart. I believe the Bible makes it clear that's something we can't really do.

It does seem to me there was an element of sarcasm in the establishment of this thread. It seems it's just a way for C4K to prove his point that he does not "hate" the President but only disagrees with his policies. C4K's insistence that only pro comments be posted is very unusual, from what I've seen, since other threads don't have such limitations in either direction. Of course, there comes a point where we have to accept a person's stated reasons since we can't really "see" into their inner motives.

Perhaps this thread should be moderated by someone other than C4K, a moderator, since there is a rather obvious conflict of interest involved? But, then, all moderators have strong political bias just like the rest of us mere mortal contributors! That's been made clear more than once to me.

Regardless, this is another opportunity to express whatever we believe about the President and his actions. Our comments, pro or con, are not restricted to this discussion. We're still free to post comments on other threads as well. There are plenty of threads with "Bush hater", anti-war, anti-government, or whatever themes to choose from!

I don't know whether every one we label as a "Bush hater" truly hates the person. Labels are frequently too broad for specifics. Some, I suspect, do actually hate the President in a very serious way. Some, just don't like his polices. Some, truly believe serious problems exist and need to be addressed differently. Some just like to complain and blame anyone in a position of responsibility.

I do know that there's a whole lot of unmerited criticism and blame put upon the President - and others as well - for things that are beyond his ability to handle, not his duty to handle, or that he is, in fact, handling very well.

 

President Bush is sticks to his commitments. He is not a compromiser.

 

President Bush loves his country and has compassion for it's people.

 

As my Mom used to say:

"If you can't find anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."

President Bush honors God and his family with his committment to them.

Another thing to like about him is that his wife is Laura Bush.
