Prometheus=Lucifer?

Don't know if anyone has discovered this, but I discovered that there is a similar story between Lucifer and Prometheus.

According to the bible, Satan was cast down to the earth by (the one true) God. He tricked Adam and eve into eating the tree of the fruit of knowledge of good and evil.

Prometheus, according to the legend, was cast into the bowls of the earth by the gods for giving man hidden knowledge to man.

There's a very similar correlation in between the two characters. They both where cast down to earth, they both where punished for giving knowledge to man, and they both fell from high place.

So It would seem Prometheus is very similar to Lucifer in that aspect. The thing is that we know the Bible is accurate, not the legend of Prometheus, but what if the legend of Prometheus was told to someone, oh, who was tricked by a demonic thought or being and created the story of Prometheus in an attempt to make people worship Lucifer? Just food for thought.

Hi there,

Actually Adam was not "tricked" by Lucifer but knew full well what he was doing according to 1 Tim. 2:12-13.

I think many of the legends found among the heathen had their origin with the people of God prior to the tower of babel and from later Biblical characters (Samson versus Hercules, etc.). In the tower of babel many truths that were handed down by God's people were perverted and taken into all the nations of the world and changed and progated as legends.
