This thread has been reported to the moderators of this forum. It is way out of line. Hopefully one of them is online and can deal with it quickly.

Anyone can do that by hitting the "Report Post" button at the bottom ov every post.

I know i've done it before on this guy but nothing was done. I think they did some editing on his post.

    Glory to God,
Thanks for using the alert button as needed, please continue to do that as needed in the future.

Please refrain from public statements of what you think the mods. should do in disciplining members.

Statements like that only increase the hurt feelings and there is no use for them at all on the board or anywhere for that matter.

In the future, do not listen to what moderators on other boards tell you. Other boards may be set up where moderators can read pms, but not the BB. I have been a moderator for some time and I have never been able to read a pm unless it was sent directly to me or someone erringly posted it to the public board.

In the future please refrain from statements like you made in this post; the moderators are sometimes busy and it is difficult to quickly answer alerts, however we do not need members to advise us on our duties or responsibilities. This, inmho, was no more than a ploy to draw a target member into a confrontation. It will not be tolerated by the Board moderators or administrators.

    Brother C4K,
I received about eight or nine mod. alerts in my inbox just now and thought I would check this out.

The original post asks whether a mod. can view pm's sent.

Brother Larry answered that, then the thread falls into a free for all.

First of all, this is the BaptistBoard and not some other Christian board.

Second of all, anything that is written in the PM no moderator is interested in it unless it comes to them directly.

We especially are not interested in seeing these pm's aired publicly.

That kind of attitude destroys churches every day and is no way at all Biblical or Glorifying to God or Christ our savior.

I am a mod. and C4K and Pastor Larry are mods. none of us are able to read any private message unless it is sent to us individually.

If the original question of this post has been answered, and it has I think it best to drop this discussion.

It would have been best, inmho, to have sent a pm to one of the mods to have asked this question. Things of this nature sometimes have a way of being interpreted by members as antagonism. Then the mods. have a more difficult job because the simple act of sending a pm questioning the integrity of a pm is not done. In the future I would think that if you or others do not want your pms read by anyone else on the board then do not air them in public and do not bring up such questions.

The important thing for all of us to know is that pm's are not hidden from the Lord.

    Well, I have said enough.

I am an Administrator and cannot read pm's to anyone other than those addressed to me.

And I've gotten a bunch about one person who is now "on vacation".

However, when you "blow the whistle" to turn in a post or thread, it goes to EVERY MODERATOR of that Forum (usually 3-4 of us and vary from Forum to Forum). What you might say there is open for all the Moderators to read.

BTW, is it a full moon tonight? I'm trying desperately to prepare my heart for the Lord's Day and preaching the Word and the looney-tunes seem out in full!

Sorry Frogman...but maybe you can't tell...I am not too trusting of people on here right now. Looks like some moderators and posters think I am someone else. And it was brought to my attention by a poster that their PM was read and that the one they had received from a mod. was deleted without his permission. So I thought I would find out from those on the board what they thought ?
I don't think accusing me of writing bad pms qualifies as an answer to my question.

Who knows I may be getting attacked by the evil one for bringing many unsaved to church lately ?
I guess that would be a good thing [IMG]

    Dear Glory-to-God,
In the future when you have a question like that take it directly to a moderator.

Members of the board could at best only speculate and that will only cause more trouble.

And FYI, when the trouble is traced back to a question like your thread poses, then guess who the moderators suspect?

I have been absent quite a bit, just like Dr. Bob and many other members and mods/admins here we desire this board to be a place of edification for all of God's children who can find reasonable fellowship.

We do not ask, nor expect full agreement on every point, if we did we would not call this the BaptistBoard, believe me.

Nevertheless, we do expect a Christlike behavior, a manifestation of a meek spirit, this will help anyone in time of need. I know and understand this is sometimes very challenging; however the reward is very promising.

First there is inward peace as you lay your head on the pillow each night, then there is of course the eternal hope of not being ashamed when the Lord does return.

Please consider these things in your next post so that if you have questions regarding the integrity of the board you go straight to a moderator, or perhaps better to an administrator.

Even in the local church the biblical way of dealing with such questions is privately always first, always and in every case, Matthew 18 explains this very clearly.

If you had rebuked 4 other poster for their mean insensitive posts instead of me alone. I might just have listened

Methinks it would behoove you to listen anyway...

The only time a PM can be read by a moderator is if it is sent directly to them OR if a member receives an 'ugly' PM, they sometimes forward it to a moderator, so it can be dealt with, and that is what they should do.

We don't take kindly to members sending ugly emails to other members. Nor do we like to see personal attacks. People can be suspended/banned for both offenses.

Under no circumstances should a PM be posted on an open forum. That is in direct violation of BB rules.

Whether sending a PM, email, or posting on an open forum, we should say nothing that we would not want God to read - because He does...

The only person that can read PM's is the person (or persons) that have access to the database- usually the owner of the forum.

    Reasons why PM's are missing:

    1) A user deleted them.
    2) Someone logged into the users account and deleted them.
    3) Someone manually removed them from the database.
    4) The admin restored a backup of the database from a time before someone sent that PM.

Take it to PM's (you know, the ones the mods can't read). We don't want to hear it here!

A debate is one thing, an argument is something else again.

What edification to Christ is this kind of posting bringing?

I Am Blessed 16 what proof do you have of this ? You have accused me of being someone else. You are not on my side by any means...so nothing you have to say to me means anything ! I do not trust YOU ! I have NEVER said anything bad and I don't care if people lie to you and say I have. Real Christ like attitudes you all have
 Sounds like a few jealous women Marco saying good things and all about me....truth hurts.

    Proof of???

I have never said anything to you about being someone else. Please do not put words in my mouth.

I am on no one's side. I just get tired of people attacking other people instead of the issues being discussed.

If you have a problem with me or anyone else on the board, it would be more Christ-like to hash it out in a PM rather than air dirty laundry for everyone to read...
