Sounds like you're blaming the woman here!

I think it is highly likely that Bathsheba felt pressured. That possibly mitigates her responsibility a bit. After all, David was the monarch.

Good luck on refusing that one without death. Hey, if he was willing to commit adultery and to kill the husband later--maybe he was an intimidating figure to Bathsheba.

Hold up, yall. Bathsheba was just taking a bath. She didnt make the move. He's the one who sent the messengers to get her. When the king says come, ya come. Right? The text mentions that when her husband died, she grieved. I dont think she was the "little hommmmmmmmeee......wrecker" that she is often accused of being.

Did she have a choice, and if she didn't have a choice, wasn't that sorta a form of rape?

WEll Nathan did prophesy about the immoral future of David's line. His son raped his sister. They boys followed in Daddy's footsteps. And God still saw him as a man after His own heart. Amazing isnt it?

We cant really say if it was rape or not. We arent told much about Bathsheba's response.

She was not a rape victim, but she was coerced.....Go to the Bible Theology & Bible Study threads and find "Bathsheba not mentioned in Matthew 1:6 due to unrepented adultery?". It was towards the end of December.
