    If the officer said, "Attention" and I came to "Parade Rest" I would quickly learn the military way. Clear and responsive communication is key to military success. In my case if I was told to wax the floor, and instead I painted the wall, my opportunity to serve in a responsible position would vanish.

    and I told my troops to be ready for a Fri AM inspection - and they weren't - didn't break my heart one bit, when their room was to be inspected at 1200 hrs on Sat!
