The people don't want them anymore. Like the Democrats, there are too many folks who have been in Congress and positions of authority and power for too long. And they ALL DO NOTHING.
I propose a Constitutional Convention of States whereby an amendment is pushed to :
AMENDMENT 28
Section (A)Provide for a Congressional purge once every 18 years for the Senate and once every 10 years for the House. If you have served under 10 years in the Senate, you may remain up to 18 years. After that, you're OUT! Those who have served at least 10 years and one minute at the time of the purge are OUT! If you have served under 6 years in the House, you may remain up to 10 years. After that, you're OUT! Those who have served at least 6 years and one minute at the time of the purge are OUT!Section (B) Make Congress non-exempt from any laws passed by Congress.
Section (C) require members of Congress to spend at least half the year in there respective states or districts or be fined 1/260th of their respective salaries for every day under to be applied against their next term salaries if they are returning or against their first years pension if they are not.
Please feel free to suggest your own amendments.Thumbsup
