I assume full point calvinist from what I’ve read of the posts. It proves the doctrine of Election, a doctrine that some would fight against.
I wonder now if he believes in total predestination?
Election in the OT didnt mean that Israel was saved from the foundation of the world, but that God had chosen them to be a holy and blameless people before Him. As it turns out, even though God had chosen a people that numbered like the sands of the sea, yet only a remanent were saved that chose to follow Him and His ways. And Gentiles could choose to become part of Israel, the Elect of God, as is seen in the Law, Ruth, and a number of other places.
Election continues to still operate off of these principles in the NT. And Paul reveals that it was always the plan for Christ to come and offer election to all through the New Covenant in His blood. Election is no longer through circumcision or Law Observance. Instead, in the New Covenant, it is through faith in Him, which grants us His chosen-ness in the sight of the Father. All because of Jesus’ work, not of ourselves.
My 2c nutshell on the subject of election.
