Reformation-Era Theologian Johannes Oecolampadius?

I have seldom encountered this man's name in various discussions or reading about the Reformation era, but I did a Google search and found some interesting data about him as Zwingli's ablest assistant:

The above website also notes his views regarding predestination, etc.:

" He did not minutely analyze the doctrine of predestination as Luther, Calvin and Zwingli did, contenting himself with the summary 'Our Salvation is of God, our perdition of ourselves.'"

One can't argue with 'Our salvation is of God,' can one? He came to His own, and His own received Him not. John 3:16-17, John 14:6, and Romans 10:8-13 tell "the rest of the story."
