Charles Haddon Spurgeon December 28, 1856, Revelation 14:1-3, New Park Street Pulpit Volume 3

“I do abhor from my heart that continual whining of some men about their own little church as the "remnant"—the "few that are to be saved." They are always dwelling upon strait gates and narrow ways, and upon what they conceive to be a truth, that but few shall enter heaven. Why, my friends, I believe there will be more in heaven than in hell. If you ask me why I think so, I answer, because Christ, in everything, is to "have the pre-eminence," and I cannot conceive how he could have the pre-eminence if there are to be more in the dominions of Satan than in paradise. Moreover, it is said there is to be a multitude that no man can number in heaven; I have never read that there is to be a multitude that no man can number in hell. But I rejoice to know that the souls of all infants, as soon as they die, speed their way to paradise. Think what a multitude there is of them! And then there are the just, and the redeemed of all nations and kindreds up till now; and there are better times coming, when the religion of Christ shall be universal”

Spurgeon's remarks on infants who die are very interesting, and do agree with what the Bible teaches on this, "But I rejoice to know that the souls of all infants, as soon as they die, speed their way to paradise". ALL infants, not just the "elect infants" that some twist the Bible to teach!

Benjamin Breckinridge Warfield, Are There Few That Be Saved?

“It does not fall within the scope of this discussion to adduce the positive evidence that the number of the saved shall in the end be not small but large, and not merely absolutely but comparatively large; that, to speak plainly, it shall embrace the immensely greater part of the human race”

Loraine Boettner, Studies in Theology, Page 316

“But apparently wiser designs and higher purposes are not to be served by allowing some to continue in their self-chosen ways of sin and thus exhibit eternally before men and angels what an awful thing is opposition and rebellion against God. We believe, however, the merciful and benevolent nature of God implies, and that the Scripture clearly teaches, that in the final analysis the great majority of the human race will be found among the saved

Jesus Christ, THE Final Authority on ALL Matters

Matthew 7:13-14

“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few

Luke 13:23-24

“Then one said to Him, “Lord, are there few who are saved?” And He said to them, “Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able

Here we have human theology, and the Infallible Word of Almighty God, and the Word of The Lord Jesus Christ Himself. As we can see from the “Reformed” perspective, they speculate, with NO Biblical evidence, that at the end time, the “great majority of the human race”, will be saved, with means that the “greater minority”, will be lost in heaven! As is very clear from what Jesus Himself says, it is the complete opposite to these theologians say, that the “majority” of the human race will be lost and sadly end up in hell.

In Luke’s Gospel Jesus says, “many…will not be able to”, enter through the “Narrow Gate”, that leads to eternal life. The Greek here is “οτι πολλοι”, in the plural number, and with the article, which denotes “the greater number”, and never used for “the fewer”. See the question asked of Jesus, “Lord, are there few (ὀλίγος, small in number) who are saved?”. To which Jesus very clearly replies. The comparison is clear here, “few…majority”. The same is in Matthew’s Gospel, where we see that the “greater number” will not be among the saved.

Again, the Reformed misrepresent what the Bible actually does Teach, as they do also on other Doctrines, like “election” and the “extent of Jesus’ Death”!

sigh...such wearisome threads.
I trust God redeems whom he has given to Jesus. (John 10) What the percentage is from all humanity, I have no idea and frankly it is foolish to project.
Suffice it to know that God is in full control over whom He will save.

Interesting that those "bad Calvinists" actually saw God saving far more then the Non Cals would have Him saving!

how do you arrive at this? I am a non Cal, and like the Lord, "desire that NONE should be lost"!

However, they are wrong when Jesus clearly says that the greater number of the human race will not be in heaven. Why would anyone try to contradict the Lord Himself? This is exactly what the Reformed do with the extent of Jesus' Death.

Another hate the truth thread, trying to pit one against another with no scriptural basis. This will eventually dry up and perish. The light of truth shines through and dispels such gloomy darkness

The difference is that I truly believe that "none shall be lost." While you have to live with the very real understanding that many will be lost. Your God is made weak by the overpowering will of man, while my God redeems all whom God has chosen to redeem.

Have you read where, "usward" is mentioned in The Bible?

One time is in the attempt to quote this Passage, you posted.

Thus, nowhere in the Bible is there a description having to do with Almighty God and His Holy Bible, where one could possibly say they are, "like the Lord, "desire that NONE should be lost"!

"like the Lord, "desire that NONE should be lost"! is adding to and taking away. It touches on making another Gospel and Jesus Eternal Work of Salvation, too.

See if you can read this Passage and see what it says;

King James Bible
"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."

God is not Willing that any of the "usward" perish, and the "usward" is who He Says He is Talking about and who he Talking to.

well, instead of your continued dumb comments, why not just prove what I have said wrong?
I might not be that smart, after all I drive a truck. But I know many of the other men who are smarter than I am have corrected you many times and you don't seem to be able take that correction well at all.

Because I am not that smart, I found a bunch of people who are smart and I read and post them for your benefit. I don't think I really need to answer too many of your posts because you don't listen anyway .
When we do answer and the other men up-and-down the line have answered your posts so well that it's almost like an embarrassment for you. I think you'd be like a little bit reluctant to keep posting like this because you get mightily corrected each and every time you post.

Just cannot see God allowing Himself to be boxed into a corner, in which He must wait and see if any will ever decide to get saved by themselves!

All those whom God intended to get saved by Jesus death shall be!

you bang on about the same old unreformed nonsense, but the OP has nothing to do with what you say. The OP shows that the so-called "reformed" theory that the "majority" of the human race will be in heaven, is simply not true, as Jesus Himself very cleary says!

I would not say majority myself, but would say MANY people will get saved!

It's worse than that. Like Miracle Max, they declare that the Bible is wrong when it says that we were dead in our trespasses and sins. Instead, they declare a man is only mostly dead and thus must cooperate with God in order for God to save them.
