No one is asking you to read another version or compromise on the gospel. The whole issue is about an *idea about* the KJV, not the KJV itself.
The first poster in this thread asked about a link that deals with an *idea* about the KJV. I responded that it contains good information. Glen then accused us of "constantly attacking the KJV" and general personal harassment. This simply illustrates that some people have a hard time understanding that one can like the KJV but dislike an idea about it. We are not attacking the KJV, and we are not attacking him. We are discussing what we believe to be a false idea about the KJV. And as Christians, I think it is our duty to oppose untruth. Elevating any version beyond what is factual is just as untruthful as demotion of a version beyond what is factual.
For example, there are those that elevate the virgin Mary to near-deity status. Is opposing this idea an "attack on Mary"? No. It is trying to portray Mary in the most truthful light possible. Likewise, neither is opposing KJV-Onlyism an attack on the KJV.
