    1 Corinthians, chapter 6
15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.
16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.

    Matthew, chapter 19
"5": And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?

It is the word of God.

It is saying even if you marry a harlot in the eyes of God you are married and become as one flesh.

Therefore, if you are joined in Heaven in God's eyes can man disolve it unless its for fornication as Jesus said? Wouldn't the separation have to be in God's eyes also?

I know a couple that are now Pastoring that have been through this very situation. Both grew up in the church and married young and for reasons that I do not know had a rocky relationship that ended up in a seperation and a divorce, yet neither was unfaithfull.

What happened is that God kept on working in their lives and they came to a point where their hearts were changed, they fell in love again and were remarried. After a few years they had a child then applied to go to Bible College. The college though would not process their application straight away, and unlike other applicants their application had to come up before a panel of elders who advise the college on matters. After getting to know the couple they were given the all clear and now Pastor a really good church where they are faithfully serving the Lord.

Jesus quoted Moses' rendition of why the divorce"could be" made, BUT Jesus said, "But from the beginning it was NOT so"

Jesus showed how a man/Moses, can try to change the Word of God to fit his hardened heart, BUT FROM THE BEGINNING IT WAS NOT SO

    Not disqualifed from pastoring

No, if he remarries he is not disqualified from being a pastor. 1 Corinthians 7 calls for divorced couples to either stay unmarried or reconcile. If the couple reconciles, everything is fine. The husband is still a "one woman man" rather than a womanizer.
