Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) has been exonerated and the Department of Justice’s sex trafficking investigation has been shut down as the man who made the false allegations is now behind bars. Florida developer and convicted fraud, Stephen Alford, faced a judge on Tuesday after he was indicted for extortion.

In fact, people are often blackmailed BECAUSE they have been doing inappropriate/illegal things and the extortioner uses that knowledge to extract money or favors.

I have found no legitimate news source that claims the investigation of sex trafficking has been closed. Those troubling allegations remain.

So Trump's Justice Department was full of "radical liberals" investigating Gaetz?

Your cartoonish depiction of radical liberals is about as accurate as the cartoonish depiction of Trump supporters as all being members of white supremacist organizations.

There's lots of lying in politics. Former President Trump was one of the most spectacular liars our nation has ever seen.

That's why we all need to take a deep breath and calm down. Gaetz is being investigated. The allegations are troubling (I assume everyone agrees with that) but we should wait and see if there is strong evidence for the allegations before making judgments about him based on the allegations.

Wonderful, we can now make that judgment. The allegations were false.

The report states the Gaetz investigation is over, shut down. The only investigation now is to determine if anyone else was involved in the shake down.

So you can publicly state, here and now, the man was falsely accused and has been exonerated. Thank God the truth came out.

The reference to radical liberals was not to LEO, but to leftists camouflaged as journalists who ran with the unverified story with glee thinking it hurt conservatives generally and Trump in particular.

I’m sure you are willing to admit your error of claiming Gaetz is still being investigated for child sex trafficking which was repeating a demonstrated lie.
