Yes, the Republicans brought it on themselves and they are digging the hole deeper and deeper.

USA Today/Gallup released a poll showing that female voters are rallying around the president, and this gender gap could pose a huge challenge for Republicans as the president leads Romney by 18 percentage points among registered female voters in the top dozen swing states. The poll showed that this is the first significant lead the president has held in these states. And it was a huge change among women under 50. In the middle of February under half of that demographic supported the president. Now more than six in 10 support the president, and support for Romney? Well not as victorious as his delegate pick up...he lost 14 percentage points with these women, meaning the president is leading him 2-1 among registered female voters under 50. And the USA Today/Gallup poll is not the only poll showing such results, a recent Quinnipiac University poll showed similar numbers.

They don't want you to have sex, get pregnant, prevent pregnancy, and if you want to avoid pregnancy, don't use birth control. And if you're going to use birth control, they don't want to pay for it. And if you want to run down the street to Planned Parenthood, well, they want to cut the funding for that. And if you get pregnant, have the baby. But they want to cut funding programs like food stamps, Medicaid, Medicare, welfare, etc. You see the point? Or perhaps the problem?

IMHO, it is not a "real subject", it is merely a lie. And the dishonestly of the current administration is becoming more apparent every day.

Class warfare is all Obama has got for ammo, and it is wearing thin on the pubic. Republicans hate women, poor people, gays, immigrants and even elderly people???? Really? What Republican has said this? How bout the old lie that "The Republicans are for big business, and the Democrats are for the working man"? Most educated people don't believe those old campaign lies any more.

People are smarter than you give them credit for. Romney is focusing on Obama now that the primary is all but decided, and Obama's approval ratings will tank again as soon as Santorum and Gingrich are gone.

It is not a matter of my agreeing or disagreeing with what she said. It is a growing perception among women and many men. How can the Republicans counter this perception while passing laws doing what she says most women want while opposing proposed laws that a majority of women see as helping them?

Step back and look at it as a woman might look at it.

On your last sentence I see the Republican stances as immoral in many of these areas. Christ supported and helped people. The only folk he condemned were those who tried to use religion for their own good. But that is another topic and might be a good thread in which to discuss this topic
