Baptist brothers (and sisters),

Tomorrow I will be ordained into the Pastoral Ministry at my local Baptist church where I serve as Youth Pastor/Associate Pastor. I am beyond excited about the opportunity to serve the Lord with the gifts He has given me. I humbly ask for your prayers at this hour. With my excitement comes a healthy fear of serving the Lord well and helping shepherd His flock on this side of paradise. I do not post much on this board but do enjoy reading your material. I seek advice and counsel from men of God. Any words of advice and encouragement are deeply and affectionately appreciated.

I was in the pastoral/preaching ministry (ordained) for 10 years and I came to the conclusion through experiences, supplication, prayer and fasting that a teaching ministry was my true calling.

It was a struggle.
