I praise God that evolution is a lie. Genesis is literally true and has not lied.

It is an enormous leap of logic to assume that since God does not lie, he would not allow us to arrive at false conclusions with controversial evidence.

It is a mistake to believe that evolutionists are seeking truth, rather than seeking to defend their own theory (which could also be called a religion); they use all the classic methods of deception to do so, including suppressing inconvenient data, downplaying holes in their theories, and attempting to portray opponents as an emotional, unscientific, minority.

It is always foolish to fail to take into account bias in the interpretation of complex data.

I'm curious what your evidence is for this conclusion. It must be pretty good if you are willing to use it to mold your interpretation of the Word of God.

Whose intelligence are you more confident in, man's or God's? And whom is more reliable, and more honest?

A New Twist--to an old lie

It must be global warming--someone has been in the sun too long--a mirage.

If one takes what men say over what God has plainly revealed, one is given over to strong delusion, believing a lie.

I quess this means we may not have a common ancestor named Lucy. The common ancestor part is right--her name is Eve, not Steve. Are we going to change our science textbooks again? They are so expensive. Try the Book of Genesis--obtainable free of charge. Someone needs to re-calibrate their chronometer--starting at Golgotha.

    An aberration in agonic declination:

    Are you sure?

Were you there when the poles of the globe were shifted 23 1/2 degrees from the perpendicular? Was that a punctuated equilibrium, happenstance from Ort, or Divine Fiat? Please add any other possibilities.

Judging by the number of homo sexuals coming out of the closet, I doubt the potency of our kind is increasing. How do homos reproduce? Nonetheless, the world population is redoubling in a much shorter period. (Probably promiscuity, in spite of a world-wide AIDS epidemic, abortion, and eliminating female babies)

Do we need to find a way to speed up evolution?
    Jay Gould, where are you?

Have we declined(evolved) to the level of Sodom and Gomorrah yet?

    Even so, come Lord Jesus.

    Selah,

    Bro. James

One of the rare folks here who agrees with you.

Regarding natural selection, I think it still plays a smaller factor in human evolution but again because of human intervention on the climate and human creation of mutagens in our biosphere, etc.

Regarding the rate of human evolution, it makes sense that with our exponentially growing population that its rate would be increasing. Each birth that occurs increases the rate of human evolution through genetic recombination.

    Human intervention

Is that not amazing: supposedly man and his ancestors has been populating this planet for millions of years(using a sliding scale which seems to change often). Yet we can dig up only 5-6 thousand years of evidence of him having been "civilized". Have we calibrated our chronometer lately?

I still want to know what effect homosexuality has had on gene pool possibilities. Sure seems like a race with a lot of homosexuals would become extinct or be destroyed. See the account of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Just a couple of comments on things that caught my eye.

Evolution is theory. One of the first things I was taught in university is that theories cannot be proven. Theories can only be disproven. To believe in evolution as fact is short sighted. Theories are disproven everyday; then the scientists come up with new ones.

Evolution has TWO definitions. The first: That man 'evolved' from apes is the religious fundamentalist definition and God haters use it to mock Christians for their lack of knowledge and hard headed refusal to consider any evidence that may point to a different conclusion than what they believe. This definition is comman but not what the scientific community actually uses in everyday science.

Definition number 2 is what is used in everyday science: That organisms change over time in response to their environments. Very simple. Can't be proved. Hasn't been disproved. It's simply a theory that helps scientists define limits to their experiments.

The pertinant question is: Who controls the conditions?

When ya'll get down to the basics all you are arguing about is semantics. How God accomplished His creation doesn't change the fact that He did and all ya'lls arguing over how someone who believes one idea over another will possibly not "enter Heaven" is unbecoming of brothers and sisters in Christ.

If Christians dislike the idea of evolution, using whichever definition causes them a problem, they need to get busy disproving it. (remember, theories can be disproven) Simply making it a spiritual issue strikes me as being somewhat of a lazy, dishonest attitude. Kinda like how my elders used to tell me that smoking was a sin, but couldn't find scriptures to back it up......

    Closing Words

The first post on this thread set the tone: science fiction.
Human evolution is a false premise; therefore any conclusions thereafter are necessarily false. The pig's teeth do not lie.

The wonderful world of what supposition is alive and well.
