Should a church or Christian organization seek outside council when one of its leaders (or workers) is charged with abuse?
Did they take appropriately actions to care for those who might have been have been impacted by abuse? ...or was their response driven by a desire to protect their ministry and its leader?

“During a two-hour gathering that the church called a “family meeting,” Hybels alongside a current and former elder, walked members thorough three inquiries overseen by elders over the last four years, all of which cleared Hybels of misconduct.”
