Restore The Joy Of My Salvation!

I'm of the OSAS and believe that if Jesus Christ has saved you from your SINS you can never perish... But I believe you can lose the Joy of that Salvation whom David implores the Lord God to restore in Psalms 51:12. Notice the heading in your bibles this was after David had sinned against God with Bathsheba... We all know the story! We can draw types and shadows between David and Jesus... Jesus coming from the lineage of David but that's another deep topic entirely. So are there two types of Salvation... Timely and Eternal?

Why is this thread in the Calvinism/Arminianism debate forum? It should be moved.

I would as far to say we can lose this joy for a long period of time. We do have our peaks and valleys. May God bless us with more peaks.

Restore The Joy Of My Salvation!

It's restore the joy of YOUR (God's) salvation.

Psalm 51:11-13

"Do not cast me away from Your presence And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation And sustain me with a willing spirit. Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, And sinners will be converted to You.…"

doesn't matter. it's not God who feels the joy, it's the recipient. God is simply the source.

Give it a few posts and it will be... :D

'they' see us evil, scheming, drooling Calvinists lurking in the shadows, ready to pounce and mangle and turn everything to a discussion of our hated (their hated) doctrines.
dark shadows fleetingly flitting from one wall and one corner to the other.
like 'they' tried to do in another thread in another non-Baptist forum.

You're waxing poetic there.

Personally, I am crouching with fiendish delight as I rub my hands together. But I am also operating under cloudy conditions too. That could account for the shadows that some associate with us.
